Belinda is a supporting character of the Disney XD comedy series Kirby Buckets.
Background[]
Personality[]
Belinda is an optimistic and approachable person. She answers to most of Dawn's beck and call, acting as a wingman or advisor of sorts to her. She is slow to anger and unlike her friend, does not seem to actually mind Kirby, Fish, and Eli, though she unquestionably will try to hinder them along with Dawn. Beneath her kind exterior, she can act very crafty and determined, possibly even more so than Dawn. However, she very rarely harbors the more drastic traits that her friend has.
As the series progresses, Belinda becomes more and more independent from Dawn, to the point that she starts to realize that she rarely cared for her, nor did she show any concern for her disappearance throughout the third season. Belinda slowly turns into a more dynamic and angry person with a take charge attitude. She also becomes quicker to anger and hold grudges against others for minor infractions, most likely since she allowed so many people to walk over her.
Trivia[]
- In "It's a Kirbyful Life!", if Kirby didn't learn how to draw, Belinda would still be friends with Dawn, but was a goth.
- In "Oh Bros, Where Are Thou?", it is implied that Belinda is not actually her real name, but is actually a pathetic attempt at trying to hide her real name Melinda.
- Some production notes stated that she had a hidden crush on Kirby. However, this is never stated nor hinted at in the series. As a matter of fact, Belinda has more interaction with Eli and Fish than she does with Kirby.
- Belinda is absent for most of season three. The behind the scenes reason is most likely due to Tiffany Espensen filming Spider-Man: Homecoming.
