"Belle" is the fifty-first episode of Lilo & Stitch: The Series. It aired on June 3, 2005.
Plot[]
Lilo, Mertle, Stitch, Jumba, and Pleakley go out on a hiking adventure to try to prove the existence of the Night Marchers (an ancient Hawaiian legend), and later tell each other frightening stories while waiting for the rain to clear up. Meanwhile, an experiment that produces a loud, high-pitched shriek is being pursued by Gantu.
Goof[]
- Strangely, despite a heavy rainstorm occurring in the scene where Lilo, Mertle, Stitch, Jumba, and Pleakley are searching for the Night Marchers, Belle appears to be the only experiment to have been activated.
Trivia[]
- Moral: You don't always have to prove you're right; it's often better to simply trust your instincts.
- The alleged Night Marchers references the Hawaiian legend, Nightmarchers, which are the ghosts of ancient Hawaiian warriors.
- Also, Lilo's theory on anyone who stares into their eyes will turn to stone references how anyone looking upon or seen by the Nightmarchers will die.
- Jumba's scary story is a parody of Victor Frankenstein and his monster, while Pleakley's scary story is a parody of both The Blob and its 1988 remake.
- "The Stain" in Pleakley's story uses recycled sound effects originally recorded by Ted Cassidy for The Godzilla Power Hour.
- Belle is one of two known experiments that lives with Lilo and Stitch, the other being Glitch.
