Beryl is the more level-headed of Kiff's parents, often reminding Martin when he is forgetful in creative ways (such as in "Thirst to Be the First", where she creates a refrigerator message to keep Martin on track while he is tasked with looking after an apparently sick Kiff). As such, she tends to be more stern compared to her husband and is willing to tell Kiff when the latter oversteps her boundaries. However, she is a loving wife and mother who greatly cares for her husband and daughter.
Beryl is shown to have an interest in crane machines, playing a crane game in "Road Trip" and spending most of "Weekly Grocery Shop" collecting coupons to win the chance to play an antique crane game. She also loves birdwatching, and states in "Road Trip" that she has a blog dedicated to the topic.
Physical appearance[]
Beryl is a squirrel with yellow fur, a light yellow underbelly and cheeks, a bushy tail lined with a dark brown stripe, large circular eyes with small pupils and two eyelashes on each eye, a small dark brown nose, and a buck tooth.

Kiff Chatterley[]
Beryl loves Kiff and is proud of her daughter's adventurousness and energy. Nonetheless, Beryl at times finds herself having to talk some sense into Kiff when Kiff gets too caught up in an adventure. In "Mushroommates", Martin says that Kiff inherited her sense of perfectionism from Beryl.
She looks out for Kiff's well being and has no qualms with exercising her authority for Kiff's own good. In "Thirst to Be the First", Beryl forces Kiff to stay home and rest when it appears Kiff has fallen sick with drooptail, and in "You Can't Handle the Tooth!", Beryl has to repeatedly tell a stubborn Kiff to brush her teeth.
In "Dial B for Butt", Beryl and Kiff spend a day having quality time together, only to end up in an elaborate quest to save Table Town from a mysterious group after Beryl receives an ominous butt dial.
Martin Chatterley[]
Beryl is a supportive wife and looks out for Martin when his absentmindedness threatens to get the best of him. In "Thirst to Be the First", she leaves the message "Kiff is tricking you" on the Chatterleys' refrigerator to prevent Martin from being tricked by Kiff into letting Kiff leave the house.
In "No Dad Ideas", Beryl chooses not to intervene when Martin gets carried away and spends large amounts of money manufacturing and promoting his double trucker invention, as she finds Martin's confidence "hot".
Barry Buns[]
Beryl is accustomed to Barry due to his friendship with Kiff, and enjoys his presence. In "Leave a Little Juice", Beryl ends up being the only Chatterley confident enough to tell Barry not to finish the Chatterleys' orange juice when he is visiting, and Barry thanks Beryl for her directness in telling him.
Helen[]
In "Weekly Grocery Shop", Beryl attempts to make small talk with Helen at Slim Pickins, as she recognizes Helen as a frequent participant in Kiff's adventures. Helen, however, does not recognize Beryl, and their continued encounters as the day goes on grow increasingly awkward. Helen becomes frustrated by the awkwardness and unsuccessfully attempts to turn Beryl into a mushroom until she eventually realizes that Beryl is Kiff's mother and lightens up.

Beryl mentions in "Leave a Little Juice" that as a child, she had a part-time job at a grocery store, which is a reference to her voice actress Lauren Ash's role as Dina Fox on the TV series Superstore.
