Big Ricky is a supporting character of the Disney XD comedy series Kirby Buckets.
Background[]
Personality[]
Big Ricky is very neutral in terms of his relation to Kirby Buckets. While he is an easily sociable person, he is also very opinionated and tends to speak in an open and commanding manner. He tends to speak for the people and thus tends to lead those around him to join in on whatever situation is happening. While he is not necessarily antagonistic towards Kirby and his friends, he will sometimes directly, or indirectly, heed them in some capacity, though it is very rarely for malicious intent.
Ricky does have wants of his own. He is the only person, besides Belinda, who actually seems to care about Dawn's well being and openly voices his love to her. By the end of the third season, the two do become a couple after it becomes apparent that they mutually dislike Kirby. This slightly contradicts early interactions with him, as though his actions sometimes revolve around stymieing Kirby to some capacity, he usually refrains from showing any kind of animosity towards him.
Trivia[]
- Big Ricky is portrayed by Jack Foley who, at the time of filming, was actually in his mid-20s. Foley had previously portrayed young teen characters despite being much older such as Pete Ross in the film Man of Steel. Foley wrote, directed, and starred in an autobiographical, yet fictional, short film titled Legal 18, which featured his alter ego and his humorous struggles looking to play similar roles.
