Trivia[]

  • The title is a reference to the 1986 film Big Trouble in Little China.
  • In this episode, the advice wasn't given to Randy, but Howard instead, and it wasn't from the NinjaNomicon, but instead it was from the store manager in little Norrisville.
  • The "wishing idol" in which the Sorcerer's Ball is hidden is in the form of a "Maneki-neko" or "Beckoning Cat," a traditional Japanese figurine believed to bring good luck.
  • This is the third time Randy's Ninja Scarf got torn. The first was "All the Juice That's Fish to Swim" and the second was "Living in Shooblivion".
  • Howard once again shows the strange capability of grabbing a Sorcerer's Ball barehanded and now even use it's power frequently without getting corrupted by it, something not even Randy as the Ninja managed to do.
  • When Ghoulian becomes distracted by Howard's wish, Randy dodges his punch which breaks the tar which takes 4000 newtons(899.24 pounds), proving Ghoulian's strength.
  • This episode continues in "Winner Takes Ball".
  • James Hong guest starred as the Shopkeeper.
