Binders Keepers is a store featured in the 2021 Disney+ original film Flora & Ulysses.

Background[]

Binders Keepers is a retail store that sells mostly office products such as objects related to work - particularly resembling that of a typical office retail store such as Staples or Office Depot. Electronic products sold at the store can consist of fax machines, calculators, and several other electronic technology - albeit outdated technology. In addition to these products, it also sells snacks packaged in bags such as nuts (especially trail mixes). Employees who work at Binders Keepers are given a specific task on what to do (for example, Chad tasking George Buckman to place extended warranties on printers sold in the store) and thus cannot be distracted when they are at work.

The logo for Binders Keepers is stylized in all lowercase letters (although the closed captions format it with capital letters) with the word "Binders" in white and the word "Keepers" in orange respectively. A yellow binder is located between both words respectively to form the titular logo.

Role in the film[]

George approaches Chad, his manager, giving him a task to put extended warranties on the printers. Flora approaches her father, telling him of how she saved a squirrel and named him "Ulysses" and as she shows him a bag of nuts for him, George agrees, telling his daughter that employees get a three percent discount. The conversation becomes interrupted when Chad approaches George, telling him to get back to work. George replies to him that he understands about selling the warranties, but not of how he controls time with an invisible remote, only for the conversation to interrupt when Flora tells him of how she saved a squirrel and named him "Ulysses" and as she shows him a bag of nuts for him, George agrees to purchase it for her, telling his daughter that employees who work at this store get a three percent discount; the conversation becomes interrupted again when Chad approaches George, telling him to get back to work, which he resumes his work routine under his orders.

Later when George returns to work, he creates a large artwork decoration of a superhero using office supplies he uses within the store, which hangs on the store's ceiling the following day. Chad stares at the artwork of a superhero made by George last night where he explains to a fellow employee that he is curious of how he made this piece, telling him that he might pay. Just as Chad talks with his boss, this was interrupted when Flora and William enter and approach George. Flora warns her father who is at work, feeling worried about Ulysses being treated as a fugitive squirrel deemed a nuisance across town. However, Chad approaches George and tells him to get back to work. During a discussion, George tells his manager that he quits his job as an employee, furious that he resigned. Afterwards, this results Chad to be fired from the store, just as George leaves with his daughter and William. The store does not appear again throughout the rest of the film.
