"Blasteroid" is the first segment of the nineteenth episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on August 7, 2015, alongside "Magnetic Merc".

Plot[]

Miles and M.E.R.C. head to the activity room, ready to set a new record in Galaxias when they see Loretta practicing there with Miles' Exo-Flex. Miles is sure Loretta will not mind letting him play one game. Galaxias activates, but as Miles progresses, Loretta changes it back, stating that it is time for her Exo-Flex practice. She also planned the time a long time ago. Miles tells her that she can do what she wants after Miles finishes one level of Galaxias. However, the two argue about what they should play when Leo turns the lights on and off, stating that no one is doing anything until they come to an agreement. Leo also tells Miles and Loretta that nothing gets done when you argue, and we all take turns, meaning everyone will get what they want. Phoebe calls everyone, and tells them to head to the bridge for a call from the Tomorrowland Transit Authority.

Once there, Admirals Watson and Crick are arguing about the TTA facing a dangerous level orange or yellow alert. Crick says that the situation is yellow because the two asteroids that are going to collide with each other in the Callistos' quadrant will rain chunks of rocks near Ascoli, whose atmosphere will burn up the rocks. However, Watson says that the collision will occur near a busy TTA space route, and they do not want anyone to get hit by debris from the asteroid before it can burn up. After the mission is accepted, Crick tells Watson if they are going to see the rocks burn up, and Watson disagrees, stating that they have an important meeting with the Fastidians. Crick says the meeting is tomorrow, but Watson says it is today. This continues until Crick says "Tomorrowland over the moon and out", ending the transmission. The Callistos then head toward the collision site.

Miles and Loretta quarrel about which asteroid will crash into the other first when Phoebe tells them that they are both going at the same speed, so they will hit each other at the same time. Loretta and Miles launch a probe which deploys space traffic cones, causing all of the ships to go away from the collision area. The Callistos are ready to see the asteroids smash into each other when Miles activates his Spectral Eyescreen. Though he intends to see the collision up close, he spots a lifeform, and Phoebe tells Stella to scan the asteroids for signs of life. Stella finds a lifeform, and the Callistos think it is beautiful. Loretta finds out through her Bracelex that the alien is an Adorbix, a friendly species of pets from the Thelonian system, and tunnel in asteroids. Since sitting on top of the asteroid will not protect the Adorbix from impact, the Callistos decide to save him. At that time, fifty-two seconds remain until the collision occurs. Miles and Loretta decide to keep the Adorbix if it is saved, and both agree to go out to save him when Leo does so himself. Leo eventually catches the Adorbix just as the asteroids collide with each other, and informs everyone that the Adorbix is safe.

The Adorbix is scanned, and is cleared for cuddle. Loretta decides to name her Marie Curie, but Miles already named her Maurice. Loretta checks if Marie Curie is a boy or girl and then is asked to try Maurice when Leo sees the asteroids burning up in different colors. The Adorbix says "bye-bye". This confuses the Callistos, who do not think the Adorbix knows human words. Loretta finds out that "bye-bye" means something else in Adorbix language: family. Stella magnifies the view, and the Callistos see lots of Adorbix riding the rocks. They did not see those Adorbix before because they were tunneled into one of the asteroids. They then decide to save all of them together.

Loretta finds one Adorbix that she plans to rescue, but Miles is closer to them. M.E.R.C. grabs both of them, and places one in Loretta's cage and the other in Miles' cage. Loretta finds out that they will not save any one of them if she argues with Miles. Miles grabs one Adorbix, and Loretta grabs another. After the Callistos rescue more Adorbix, Loretta tells Miles to go low to avoid an asteroid, and Miles does so before he rescues an Adorbix. Miles uses his Lazerang to block another asteroid from Loretta and M.E.R.C.'s path. Loretta and M.E.R.C. decide to rescue the three remaining Adorbix. However, the asteroid M.E.R.C. steps on breaks in half, and M.E.R.C. rescues two Adorbix while Loretta gets the other one. Miles catches Loretta just before the asteroid she was on burns up in the atmosphere. The Callistos then return to the Stellosphere, where the Adorbix play with its controls.

The Adorbix then surround Admirals Watson and Crick, who thank the Callistos for sending them the Adorbix, who will be relocated to a new home where they can live safely together. Watson and Crick sneeze because Crick claims that they are allergic to Adorbix. Loretta tells Miles that he can go first, as she knows how much he wants to play Galaxias. Miles tells Loretta that she never got to practice Exo-Flexing, and she can go first. Even though Miles insists more, Loretta insisted second. M.E.R.C. then brings the two to the Multivator.

Trivia[]

  • This episode marks the second appearance of the Adorbix species, as one Adorbix appeared in "I, Stella".
  • Moral: No one gets what they want if they argue, and they need to come to an agreement about what they should do if that happens.
