Blaze is a 1989 comedy-drama directed and written by Ron Shelton and starring Paul Newman and Lolita Davidovich. It is based on the memoir Blaze Starr: My Life as Told to Huey Perry, about burlesque stripper Blaze Starr and her supposed affair with Earl Long, named in the book Huey Perry.
Synopsis[]
A Louisiana governor meets a burlesque stripper and they fall in love. This causes trouble for their personal lives as the media takes hold of their scandalous affair.
