• Blazey's body almost looks like the Tetrapodophis from The Good Dinosaur.
• Blazey's eyes are very similar to Dante from Coco.
• Blazey makes a cameo as a mascot for a carnival game called "Dragon Zone" in Pixar's previous film, Toy Story 4.
