The Bluebird Family is a family of bluebirds from the 1937 Silly Symphony short The Old Mill.

Physical appearances[]
The parent bluebirds, consisting of the Father Bluebird and the Mother Bluebird, are two identical bluebirds - both having a blue coloration all over their body, orange feet, and blue wings patterned in blue, white, and dark blue. However, both of them have a distinct appearance to distinguish which one is which. The Father Bluebird has a darker blue plumage with a pink underside with his tail decorated with a blue, white, and dark blue coloration resembling that of his wings. The Mother Bluebird has a light blue coloration all over her body- although having a different tail, unlike her husband.
The Baby Bluebirds are three diminutive-sized bluebirds who are born to the Mother Bluebird inside an old mill. They are identical to each other - each of them having the same characteristics. The hatchlings each have light blue plumage, a white underside, and orange beaks and feet slightly resembling that of their mother.

The Old Mill[]
The father bluebird is seen with a worm in his beak which he brings to his mate sitting on her nest. After feeding her the worm, she chirps at her husband who introduces him to the eggs she laid on the nest, happy that they will have children soon just before the birds kiss each other in embrace.
Later during a storm causing pressure on one of the cogs, the mother bluebird wakes up and notices that she is about to be crushed, just as the wind becomes stronger just before the rope snaps, much to her shock. The mother bluebird leaps onto her eggs and protects them from being crushed, just before an empty slot lands on her, leaving a gap, leaving the bluebird, her nest, and her children unharmed as the storm becomes stronger throughout the rest of the night.
The next day, three bluebird hatchlings are born in the morning, just before the mother and father bluebirds land at the spot where their children have hatched, both with a worm in their mouths to feed them, just as the two are happy to see the children born.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two[]
The bluebird hatchlings also appear in Epic Mickey 2 when the player travels through the Old Mill projector screens where they appear as elements found within the projector screens, found only in V1 and V3 of The Old Mill respectively. If the player goes through the nest where the hatchlings are sitting, they squawk altogether.
Trivia[]
- An animatronic bluebird seen on one of the nests placed on one of the gears at the Harpers Mill walkthrough at Tom Sawyer Island at the Magic Kingdom pays an homage to the mother bluebird seen in the Old Mill short, alongside an owl perched on one of the rafters. Unlike the one seen in The Old Mill, the bluebird has a yellow underside instead of a white underside.
- It is unknown why the father bluebird did not appear during the part where the storm passes through the Old Mill with only the mother bluebird herself appearing in said scene.
