I haven't seen the new movie yet (Waiting for it to show in my local cinema) but from what it looks like from the trailers, it looks like it recycles the plot from the first movie.
In the first movie Bob is offered some job by a mysterious benefactor who by a facade appears sociable, trusting and with public interest in mind. This leaves Helen proud with her husband new job but struggles with home life until the family has to go and help Bob. Bob admits what he's doing is a matter of pride but the family reminds him that they're stronger as a family.
In this movies trailers Helen is offered some job by a mysterious benefactor who by a facade appears sociable, trusting and with public interest in mind. This leaves Bob proud with his wifes new job but struggles with home life. The family will probably have to go and help Helen. Helen may admits what she's doing is a matter of pride but the family reminds her that they're stronger as a family.
There are some differences, or more precise, opposites as in the first movie, Helen manages being a lone-mother well while the father spends days working as a superhero without her awareness while in this movie Bob struggles working as a lone-father while is completely aware of what his wife is doing.
Atleast thats the impression I get from the trailers.
