Eh, Maleficent came across more as "pride", far more than the Evil Queen (who's closer to Envy anyhow). After all, she does truly revel in her being the Mistress of All Evil and truly enjoys causing evil acts. Can't get any more prideful than that.
That's true, Maleficent is more as Pride, Because She is the Mistress of all evil, While The Evil Queen Grimhilde is more as Envy, Because She is jealous of Snow White's Beauty and Kindness.
You know, the Pixar villains are just as guilty.
Greed: Miles Axelrod: His scheme would've ended with him and his minions getting rich off of his supply of gasoline.
Sloth: Hopper: He and his grasshopper army bullied the ant colony to get the food they needed for the winter.
Pride: Ernesto de la Cruz: His quest for fame and fortune drove him to murder his best friend, and he was willing to ensure that no one would find this out, or tell the world.
Lust: Mor'du: He desired power over his brothers, which eventually caused the downfall of his kingdom.
Gluttony: Thunderclap: Would eat any innocent harmless creature that would be in his sight.
Wrath: Losto: He was so furious over being replaced that he bullied other toys and even after Woody and Buzz saved his life, he ultimately decided not to return the favor and let them burn to death.
Envy: Prospector: After years of neglect, he ultimately believed children were a threat to toys, and would go to any length to ensure that Woody, Jessie and Bullseye would stay trapped in the museum with him.
Live-action villains are guilty as well. For example:
LUST: Vicky Robinson from the original "Parent Trap"; Barnaby from "Babes In Toyland"
GLUTTONY: The Master Control Program from "TRON"; Big Boy Caprice from "Dick Tracy"
GREED: Long John Silver from "Treasure Island"; Aristotle Bolt from "Escape To Witch Mountain"; Doc Terminus from "Pete's Dragon"; Barbossa from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series (or at least "Curse of the Black Pearl")
SLOTH: Alonzo Hawk from "The Absent-Minded Professor" (and its sequel "Son of Flubber") and "Herbie Rides Again; Neville Sinclair from "The Rocketeer"
WRATH: Judge Doom from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"
Nothing from Envy, oddly enough
PRIDE: Captain Nemo from "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea"; Peter Thorndyke from "The Love Bug"; Dr. Hans Reinhardt from "The Black Hole"; the Sanderson Sisters from "Hocus Pocus"; Trip Murphy from "Herbie: Fully Loaded"; Jadis the White Witch from the first "Narnia" movie; the Red Queen from the Tim Burton "Alice In Wonderland" series.
Wrath: The Firebird - Got ticked off with the Spring Sprite disturbing him and hunted her, but didn't care if his anger destroyed the entire forest.

Actually, come to think of it, we probably should exempt Maleficent from being considered, since, due to her title of "Mistress of All Evil", she'd probably represent all seven deadly sins by default.
Jafar would be greed, as he was power-hungry even when he had the second best job in Agrabah.
Hades would be wrath and sloth, as he let Pain, Panic, and various monsters do all the work while he sat on his throne hating Hercules. He gets angry often and is very bitter. He is wrathful toward Pain, Panic, and Hercules.
Gaston lusted after Belle. You can tell it wasn’t love because he only liked Belle for her appearance. He also committed vanity, as he brags about his muscles and always stares at his reflection.
The Evil Queen would be envy and vanity, as she envied Snow White’s appearance. She also only cared about her appearance and wanted to be the most beautiful person in the world.
My list:
Greed - Dr Facilier (his only goal was get many money)
Envy - The Evil Queen (kill a girl just because she's more beautiful?)
Wrath - Maleficent (okay, we can say she didn't want to kill Aurora because she wasn't invited for the party, but for fun, but what made her do this? her angriness)
Gluttony - Jafar (I didn't know who to write, but then I read the comments and yes, I found reality in that - he was powerful, had a good place, but it wasn't enough for him and all his wishes were to be more and more powerful - first just sultan, then magician and then a genie)
Lust - Frollo (first villain who comes in my mind for word "lust". He did horrible things because of his lust for Esmeralda)
Sloth - Governor Ratcliffe (yes, he wanted to kill the Indians, but it was the only thing he wanted to do himself, everything else did the crew and he just wanted to get te money they worked for)
Pride - Gaston (I don't really think his reasons for wanting kill Adam was he was in love with Belle, but the fact the girl he wanted to get fell in love with someone else - with someone who isn't he. And after that he was a real egoist)
Made this list was a great fun, I think it was a great idea! And it was also hard, because these ideas can be other if we think about the things from other point of view.
Normally I do not respond to these comments, but this is something I have been considering for some time, and I want to get my opinion out. Although many of the Disney Villains display multiple sins (and many of you have good reasons why you ranked them the way you did), here is my list of who I feel best represent each of the deadly sins and why.
Note: this list focuses only on the main villains of the original films.
Lust: Judge Frollo-Though he was morally flawed to begin with, his lust for Esmeralda drove him to commit the atrocities he did in the second half of the film...he tried to burn down a home with the family inside!
(Dis)honorable mentions: Gaston
Gluttony: Jafar-His evil acts were motivated by an unquenchable hunger for power; it is the theme of his three wishes (first he wanted to be sultan, then the world’s most powerful sorcerer, and finally an omnipotent genie). This excess-coupled with his arrogance- and would lead to his downfall.
(Dis)honorable mentions: None that I can think of at the moment.
Sloth: Scar-I have to agree with everyone else on this one, because he had the hyenas do all his dirty work (except for killing Mufasa), and tried to shift the blame for his actions on others, first on his own nephew and then his hyena henchmen.
(Dis)honorable mentions: Prince John (has his henchman carry out his plans)
Greed: Governor Radcliffe-His sole passion in life was wealth, and he travelled halfway around the world in search of gold and prestige. He was willing to manipulate (the colonists of Jamestown) or eliminate (the Powhatan tribe) anyone who stood in his way of the gold that Pocahontas and her people, who he considered inferior, never had.
(Dis)honorable mentions: Edgar Balthazar, Prince John, Jafar, Doctor Facilier
Envy: Lady Tremaine-Of all the villains guilty of the sin of envy (and there are a great deal), she has to be the worst perpetrator. She is proof that murder is not necessary to cause misery to a perceived rival. While other jealous villains sought to eliminate their perceived rivals, she went out of her way and beyond to deprive Cinderella of any happiness in life, even when she had nothing to gain other than see her poor stepdaughter suffer. Truly despicable.
(Dis)honorable mentions: Evil Queen, Scar, Doctor Facilier
Wrath: The Queen of Hearts-Not much explanation is needed here; anything done to set off her hair-trigger temper, no matter how trivial, and it’s her personal mantra: “off with your head!”
(Dis)honorable mentions: Captain Hook, Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, Shere Khan, Ratigan, Ursula, Hades, Yzma
Pride: Gaston-Many (if not all) villains are prideful, but Gaston is undoubtedly the Disney embodiment of narcissism. He believes he is entitled to the best of everything because of his good looks, such as marrying Belle, who he considers the most beautiful girl in the village. He is angered when Belle refuses him, thereby damaging his ego, and planned to have her father thrown into an insane asylum if she did not marry him. He is furious that Belle would rather be with Beast than him, and wanted to kill him so that he could take her by force. There is a kind of irony with Gaston; despite Beast’s appearance, behind Gaston’s supposedly handsome facade was the true monster in Beauty and the Beast.
(Dis)honorable mentions: Almost every other villain, since they feel entitled to do what they do to get what they want.
Great post!
I really love your idea and your whole post!

I'd personally list Maleficent more under pride than wrath (she already made it very clear she was not even remotely upset at not being invited when she made the curse, and besides, not many villains explicitly brag about being evil incarnate like she does, not even Gaston does that).
Besides, should Maleficent even BE considered for a vote? Being the Mistress of All Evil, she'd represent all seven Deadly Sins by default, thus giving her an unfair advantage for the purposes of the poll.
WRATH, of course!
