George Robert "Bob" Newhart is an American stand-up comedian and actor, noted for his deadpan and slightly stammering delivery. He is probably best known for hosting the self titled sitcom The Bob Newhart Show. He also voiced Leonard the polar bear in 1998's Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie.

For Disney, he provided the voice of Bernard in The Rescuers and The Rescuers Down Under.
