The Bomb is an explosive device whose detonation is triggered by a timer. The use or attempted use of time bombs has been for various purposes including insurance fraud, terrorism, assassination, sabotage and warfare. They are a frequent plot device in thriller and action films as they offer a way of imparting a dramatic sense of urgency.

Donald Duck[]
In the 1939 Donald Duck cartoon "Donald's Lucky Day", Donald is given a package by 2 criminals who want to kill “Scarpuss” at "1313 13th Street" for Valentine’s Day. Unaware of the time bomb in the package Donald Duck gets interrupted by the black cat who gets in his way and the cat causes the time bomb package to fall in the harbor and causes a pile of fish on the docks and Donald Duck and the black cat survive.
Peter Pan[]
After Wendy, John, Michael, and the Lost Boys are captured by Hook's crew and carried off to the Jolly Roger, Captain Hook lowers the bomb disguised as a gift from Wendy into Hangman's Tree as his ultimate revenge against him and keeping his word not to lay a finger (or hook) on Peter. Back on the Jolly Roger, Wendy, John, Michael, and the Lost Boys are given the choice of becoming pirates or walking the plank. Wendy convinces the Lost Boys to refuse the offer, in high hopes that Peter will save them. Meanwhile, Captain Hook reveals his plot to plant a bomb disguised as a gift from Wendy in Hangman's Tree that, once detonated at 6 o'clock, will blast Peter Pan out of Neverland. When Tinker Bell hears this, she breaks free of her trap and heads for there. She tries to warn Peter, but he brushes her claims off as nonsense. The bomb begins to ring rapidly, ready to explode, but she takes it away from him and risks herself. In the rubble of Hangman's Tree, Peter is safe, but Tink is seriously injured. He restores her life by telling her just how much she means to him. With her saved, he heads to the Jolly Roger to rescue his friends from Hook and his pirates.
