- “Gram-gram used to sing that?”
- ―Mickey's reaction after Pete finishes performing the song
"Boom-Da-Boom" is a song originally performed by recording artist Goldo, in which he describes a dream he had that featured multiple Disney characters (and also Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which was released through United Artists).
The song was later sung by Pete (dressed as a ballerina) in the House of Mouse episode, "Pete's One-Man Show". Pete's version notably cuts out the song's second verse, likely due to the mention of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Disney characters mentioned in the second verse were the One Hundred and One Dalmatians, Snow White, Sleepy and Sneezy. Actual Disney characters that appear in Pete's version include Card Soldiers, the Magic Mirror, and Mr. Bluebird.
Lyrics (House of Mouse version)[]
[Speech]
Pete: Folks, at this time, I'd like to do a little song my dear gram-gram Peg-Leg used to sing me when I was a wee tyke. It means a lot to me, and I think it'll mean a lot to you too.
Boom, da boom,
Boom, boom, da boom.
Boom, da boom,
Boom, boom, da boom.
Pete: Alright, listen up!
It was the middle of the night,
In the middle of a dream,
I was surrounded by water,
Bein' carried downstream.
When next thing I knew,
I was hangin’ with Alice in Wonderland!
Mickey Mouse was the drummer of the band!
He goes-
boom, da boom,
Boom, boom, da boom.
Pete: We goes-
boom, da boom,
Boom, boom, da boom.
Pete: Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who is the fairest one of all?
I’m Prince Charmin’,
and I’m takin’ Cinderella to the ball!
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay! Yeah-hah!
My, oh my, what a wonderful day!
We got Goofy on guitar,
And Donald Duck’s on bass.
With Mickey Mouse on drums,
You know they rockin’ the place!
They go boom, da boom,
Boom, boom, da boom!
They go -
boom, da boom,
Boom, boom, da boom!
We go boom, da boom,
Boom, boom, da boom!
Pete: Bring it home!
