"Bora the Banshee" is the first segment of the sixty-sixth episode of Vampirina. It is the first half of the sixteenth episode in the third season. It premiered on October 25, 2020.
Synopsis[]
The Ghoul Girls try to impress a banshee music critic for The Rolling Bones who wants to interview the band for a magazine, but her tendency to scream a lot makes the girls wonder if she doesn't like them.
Plot[]
After a Ghoul Girls performance, Oxana arrives, telling them there is a very special guest arriving at the Scare B&B from Transylvania especially to meet them. A loud shriek is heard, and Poppy and Bridget wonder what made it. Vampirina and Demi know it's not the doorbell. Bora O'Grave the banshee appears and introduces herself. Vampirina knows her as a music critic for Rolling Bones magazine. Bora reviews all the monster bands, including the Scream Girls, which she gave a five-ghost review. After that, everyone in Transylvania knew the Scream Girls were one of the most spooktacular monster bands around. Bora knows about the Ghoul Girls and is here to their music and write an article about them. If Bora likes what she hears, she may put the Ghoul Girls on the cover of Rolling Bones.
First up is the photo shoot. Gregoria is excited about the Ghoul Girls being on the cover of Rolling Bones. Demi stylizes them so that they're ready for the pictures. Bora then takes pictures of the Ghoul Girls before preparing to interview them. Poppy and Bridget assume that their gear isn't what Bora expected due to her shrieks. Vampirina supports Demi's statement on keeping their signature look while nailing the interview.
The Ghoul Girls have to answer Bora's questions honestly. Their statements also cause Bora to shriek, and she decides to review a Ghoul Girls performance. Poppy assumes that Bora didn't like the answers, and Bridget supports it. Vampirina tells them to show Bora how great they are with their music. When they perform, Bora shows up and tunes the instruments so that they shriek and fly. Vampirina tells Bora that the Ghoul Girls need a few more minutes to prepare.
Poppy and Bridget wonder if that's how Bora wants the songs to sound, and Vampirina supports the statement. They decide to make a few changes to their outfits and the lineup. However, their performance doesn't sound good, and Bora knows that isn't like the Ghoul Girls. With Bora almost done with her review, Vampirina catches up with her and apologizes, as the Ghoul Girls changed everything because they thought Bora didn't like them. They should've been true to themselves, even if that meant getting a bad review. Bora is glad to head that, and reveals she was shrieking because she adores the Ghoul Girls and flew through the instruments because she wanted to listen to them from within, which was her favorite way to hear music. Bora likes the Ghoul Girls, and Poppy and Bridget finally realize what her shrieks meant. Vampirina knows it's better to talk things out, and Bora will give the Ghoul Girls one more chance to perform for her. The performance is a success, and the Ghoul Girls are later on the cover of the Rolling Bones magazine and given a five-ghost review. They then celebrate with a shriek.
