Born in China is the 9th Disneynature film about wildlife in China and was released on August 12, 2016 in Mainland China and April 21, 2017 worldwide. The film is a collaboration between the Walt Disney Company and SMG Shangshi Pictures.
The film showcases the spectacular wildlife and natural beauty of China, including rare footage of endangered snow leopards.
The production of Born in China would become the subject of two other films released direct-to-streaming, Ghost of the Mountains and Expedition China.
