"Born to Be Wild" is a song originally performed by Steppenwolf. In the Dinosaurs series episode "Nature Calls", Baby Sinclair can be heard singing this song. In D3: The Mighty Ducks, during the third hockey period involving the JV Ducks against the Varsity Warriors, Dean Portman gets put in the penalty box for supposedly hooking an opponent. He then screams wildly while in the box and strips his own clothing, during which the band plays "Born to Be Wild". A rendition of this song performed by The Mooney Suzuki can be heard in Herbie: Fully Loaded when Trip Murphy challenges Maggie Peyton to an unofficial auto race.
