Late 1960s-1990: Br'er Bear started off in the parks with a long, curved neck, which allowed for the character to top 6'3", and was also the sight-hole for the performer and his hat was made out of plastic.

1990s-Present: Br'er Bear is now shorter and his hat is made of fabric. His neck is shorter, reducing the size of the performer's vision hole.
