Phillip Bradley "Brad" Bird is an American director, screenwriter, animator, producer, and occasional voice actor, who is best known for directing and writing the 1999 Warner Brothers sci-fi animated film, The Iron Giant, as well as working as an executive consultant on the popular Fox animated sitcom The Simpsons from 1989 to 1998.
For Disney, he directed Pixar's The Incredibles (2004), its 2018 sequel, and Ratatouille (2007). He also voiced Edna Mode in The Incredibles and Incredibles 2 and the Ambrister Minion in Ratatouille. Additionally, he directed the 2015 sci-fi film, Tomorrowland.
Bird is also the father of actors Michael and Nicholas Bird.
