Brainzburgerz is the eighth episode of the first season of Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero. It aired on February 16, 2015.
Synopsis[]
Exhausted from recent missions, Penn is relieved when he is zapped into a seemingly ordinary job as a food court employee in a mall, but it turns out that Penn and his team are in an alternate world where a zombie apocalypse is taking place.
Plot[]
The episode starts on a rainy day, with the the heroes going inside The Odyssey to start the next mission. Penn tells Phyllis if she could give them an easy mission for them, since they already fought dangerous creatures such as robots, giant slugs and giant space gerbils. Phyllis tells him today they will have a relaxing, quiet mission, but Penn tells her to don't toy him, as he feels very vulnerable. Phyllis, annoyed, zaps them into the mission.
Now zapped in, Penn and Boone find out they are fast food chain employees in a mall. Penn gets excited because they recieved normal everyday jobs, with Boone telling him he is a middle-aged man in this mission. Sashi appears, as a policewoman, and tells the boy to let the five finger discount on her watch as she points her police stick towards the boys. Boone notices that the mall they are inside is empty, thinking they are in the "world's biggest game of hide and seek". Penn asks Sashi what is their mission, which she is about to answer. However, Boone accidentally sprays ketchup on her specs, causing them to not work and, therefore, not being able to inform the heroes about the mission. Sashi then wanders away from the boys. The boys then distract themselves in various ways, such as them fighting themselves using fast food chain objects, making drawings on the ceiling using ketchup, sliding along the floor with butter on their feet and throwing onion rings towards poles. However, Penn gets bored and wonders where Sashi is. Boone checks the clipboard and says they are supposed to pass out "free Brainzburgerz samples".
A man, called Samuelson, appears, carrying a briefcase, entering the mall, escaping from a horde of zombies. Samuelson reaches to the boys, but, before he says anything, he is fed a green burger. The boys then get distracted with each other as Samuelson tries to pull the Brainzburgerz out of his mouth before falling on the floor. Samuelson, now turned into a zombie, appears in front of the boys, scaring them, so Penn uses the clipboard to knock him out. Boone calls him out for this, so Penn reminds him that they are being attacked by a zombie as that zombie appears and grabs the boys. The boys try to escape, but they find more zombies in their way. They hide inside a store as Boone tells him that zombies are attracted to sound, something he learned from zombie movies, so they decide to be quiet. The boys find out they are on a wind chime store, so they hide in a store selling cracked pepper. However, Boone tells Penn that his mom loves pepper as he messes with one, causing Penn to sneeze, attracting the zombies. The boys try to escape again, but they are surrounded by zombies.
Thankfully, Sashi appears riding a police vehicle, knocking zombies on her way, including the previous man who carried the briefcase, who drops it at a fountain. Sashi reaches to the boys, telling them her specs got fixed. The heroes then go on the vehicle as Sashi tells them the mission: they have stop Brainzburgerz, the evil corporation who turned everyone into zombies with their infected burgers, with the cure having to be delivered by Penn to the government. He tells her he doesn't have the cure as she tells him the cure is inside a briefcase. Penn then remembers that the man who reached to him and Boone before turning into a zombie was carrying the briefcase and tells them that the briefcase is in the fountain. Penn then has an idea: they have to hang on the "fashion show saturday" hanging sign to reach the fountain. Penn immediately exclaims that was a bad idea, but he says zombies can't untie knows, but a zombie sailor appears and unties it, causing one of the sides of the sign to fall, letting the heroes fall into the fountain and recover the briefcase.
The heroes then escape from the mall, but they see a huge horde of zombies outside, turning people into zombies with infected burgers. Boone sees a helicopter in the sky, thinking they are going to be saved, but the door opens, revealing Rippen and Larry inside. Rippen tells the heroes that the entire population will be zombified in a few days and that he will be their king. Larry is seen putting infected burgers inside gift baskets as Rippen tells him the burgers don't need to be inside them. Rippen then equips a weapon with infected burgets as ammo and shoots them down the city, zombifying people down there. The heroes then flee away from Rippen as they see the government base. However, Boone eats an infected burger, saying he eats when distressed, turning him into a zombie. Boone is about to zombify Penn with his infected burger, but Sashi knocks him away.
Penn and Sashi mount on a boat and drive towards the base, but the villains fly towards them in their helicopter as Rippen pulls out a minigun with infected burgers as ammo and shoots them towards the heroes. Sashi tries to protect Penn, but, unluckily, her mouth is hit with one of the burgers, zombifying her. Penn shoots a burger towards Rippen with a flare gun, but Rippen dodges it, causing the burger to bounce inside the helicopter and hit Larry instead, zombifying him. Penn sees zombie Sashi trying to shove a burger in his mouth, but he knocks her into the ocean. However, she zombifies a dolphin and rides it towards Penn. Rippen asks Larry for more ammo, but he is attacked by zombie Larry, causing the helicopter to dive into the ocean. Rippen goes to the surface, but Larry shoves a burger to his mouth.
At the government base, the General announces that Samuelson is gone, so he sttles plan to start life on the moon. However, Penn appears with the briefcase and opens it, revealing the cure. General then tells his soldiers to start "Operation: Stop Crazy Zombie Hamburger Attack". A bunch of tanks are seen roaming the city, with Penn riding one of them, shooting fries towards the zombies, curing them. Now with everyone cured, Penn encounters Boone and Sashi, who are now cured. However, Boone eats an infected burger on the floor, zombifying him again, but, however, he eats a fry on the floor, curing him back. Boone goes through this cycle until Sashi kicks him out of that cycle. Rippen and Larry are then seeing riding the zombie dolphin as they ride towards the sun's direction, ending the episode.

- The episode is a references to Simon Pegg's 2004 horror comedy - drama film Shaun of the Dead.
- This episode has many similarities to the episode "Night of the Living McFizzles" from the Disney XD animated series Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja.
- Both episodes have a zombie apocalypse are part of the episode's main plot.
- Both of the villains create food that turns everyone into zombies. (Rippen with Brainzburgerz. McFist with McFizzles).
