Jae-Beom Takata, known professionally as Brian Tee, is a Japanese-born American actor, who is best known for his various roles in films, such as Takashi/DK in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Noburo Mori in The Wolverine, Katashi Hamada in the 2015 Universal Pictures sci-fi film Jurassic World, and The Shredder in the 2016 Paramount/Nickelodeon live-action film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. He also appeared in television shows, including Monk, Zoey 101, Without a Trace, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Grey's Anatomy, Baby Daddy, Hawaii Five-0, and the Chicago franchise.
For Disney, he portrayed Mr. Itou in Shake It Up, and Toshiro Mori in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. He also voiced the Ronin in Star Wars: Visions and Yukio in the Disney+ series Baymax!.

- Brian Tee is actually of mixed Japanese-Korean descent. He changed his name to the ambiguous "Tee", when a Korean casting director refused to cast him because of his Japanese surname.[1]
