"Bringing Down the House" is the second segment of the sixty-third episode of Vampirina. It is the second half of the thirteenth episode in the third season. It premiered on October 21, 2020.
Synopsis[]
While the B&B gets prepped for the Spook and See, an open house for monsters, the Ghoul Girls get magic fortune cookies that always come true.
Plot[]
The Hauntleys finish preparing the Scare B&B. Oxana mentions that she wants to make sure everything is perfect for the Spook and See, as business has been booming at the house with human guests, but not with monster guests. So, the Hauntleys are having a special day just for monsters where they can see how spooktacular the B&B is. Also, the Ghoul Girls are practicing a new song for the event, and it is about the Scare B&B, which Oxana assumes is the highlight of the day.
During the performance, they are having trouble with their instruments. Vampirina mentions they want to put on a fangtastic show at the Spook and See, which is why they picked a hard song. They'll be ready as long as they keep practicing. Oxana shows up, but Poppy and Bridget want the song to be a surprise. Oxana knows the group will get it and their song will be a hit. The Spook and See begins, and the Ghoul Girls try again with no luck. Poppy suggests on a break, and Vampirina accepts.
They see the Scare B&B nicely decorated for the Spook and See. Gregoria is selling balloon animals. Oxana mentions the Ghoul Girls' performance will be highlight of the day, and Poppy suggests going back to practice. Vampirina and Bridget decide to stay at the Spook and See, and Chef Remy Bones serves them franken-fortune cookies. He mentions what they do, and when Poppy opens it, she bumps into a goblin, which is what happens. Bones mentions that as soon as a fortune comes true, the paper disappears. Bridget tries, and she gets the hiccups. As for Vampirina, the Ghoul Girls will bring down the house, and assumes that it must be about their song. That means they will deliver an amazing show. Vampirina tells Poppy and Bridget they don't need to practice anymore, and Bones mentions that as long as she holds the fortune in her hand, it will come true.
With the Scare B&B Trapdoor Tour about to begin, Vampirina decides to join, followed by Poppy and Bridget. Later, Vampirina decides for Poppy and Bridget to get their faces painted by Gregoria, although Oxana thought they would be practicing their song. Vampirina states they will bring down the house, and Bridget suggests practicing the song, just in case the fortune doesn't come true. Gilbert the goblin gets a fortune, stating he will win the raffle, which is exactly what happens. Vampirina, Poppy, and Bridget head to the backyard to see Gregoria hosting a magic show. Demi tells them if they're ready for the show, and Vampirina states they don't need to practice because of the fortune. Demi and Gregoria squabble over the fortune, which Wolfie catches and makes off with.
Vampirina soon gets the fortune, at the cost of Wolfie's doghouse being wrecked. Since the Ghoul Girls brought down the doghouse, Vampirina's fortune disappears. She realizes she made a terrible mistake. That means the Ghoul Girls are not ready to perform, and with their performance coming soon, Vampirina tells Boris about what happened regarding the fortune. After being motivated by Boris, the Ghoul Girls get to work right away and practice their song. Eventually, they get good at it, and after Gregoria makes Demi be replaced by Bones for his final magic trick, the Ghoul Girls perform the song to the monsters, marking their best performance ever. Vampirina states it was because of their hard work, added with Oxana's decorations and Demi's trapdoor tour, that the monsters all sign up to stay at the Scare B&B. Meanwhile, Gregoria's magic show was so popular the monsters want an encore, and she enlists Poppy as a volunteer.
