Britney Jean Asghari (née Spears) is an American singer-songwriter, dancer, and actress, who was one of the Mouseketeers in The Mickey Mouse Club and appeared in an episode of The Famous Jett Jackson. She was also mentioned in the Hannah Montana episode "Welcome to the Bungle" and the Lizzie McGuire episodes "Picture Day", "Election", and "Come Fly with Me".

Spears was born in McComb, Mississippi. She took dance, gymnastics, and voice lessons as a young girl before auditioning for the 1990s revival of The Mickey Mouse Club in Atlanta, Georgia. After the show ended, she returned to Mississippi and enrolled at McComb's Parklane Academy, but retained her ambition to be a singer.

In 1997, she was signed to Jive Records where she began a decades long career as a pop singer with hit songs, like "Baby One More Time", "Sometimes", "(You Drive Me) Crazy", "Oops!... I Did It Again", "Lucky", "Stronger", "I'm a Slave 4 U", "Me Against the Music", "Toxic", "3", "Gimme More", "Circus", "Womanizer", "If U See Amy", and "Hold It Against Me". She has also performed with many performers and musical groups throughout her career, such as Madonna, Elton John, Backstreet Boys, Will.i.am, and Christina Aguilera.

Outside of music she has acted in or guest-starred on various film and television outlets. Her film work includes Longshot, Crossroads, Austin Powers in Goldmember, and Pauly Shore Is Dead. She also appeared on various sitcoms, like Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Kenan & Kel, The Simpsons, All That, Will & Grace, How I Met Your Mother, and Glee.
