The Bunny Girls are characters from the 1935 Silly Symphony shorts: The Tortoise and the Hare and Toby Tortoise Returns. They attend Mrs. Cottontail's Girl's School and cheer on Max Hare at whatever he does, be it racing or boxing.
Appearances[]
The Tortoise and the Hare[]
After Max Hare pretends to sleep, he runs until he find a school of girls. When he starts to notice them, they begin to swoon over him. When Toby Tortoise walks by, they ask him to play with them, but he replies that he has a race to finish. Max Hare shows them archery tricks and shows how fast he is by playing tennis by himself, running back and forth and hitting the ball. The Bunny Girls clap, cheer and swoon for him some more, but Max gets back to the race, and loses. They are not shown again.
Toby Tortoise Returns[]
There are only three Bunny Girls in Toby Tortoise Returns. They attended the boxing match to cheer on Max Hare. After Max Hare dodges Toby's punches he turns to the girls who begin to giggle. When Toby tries to sneak up on Max, they warn him, but he already knows and punches Toby.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit[]
They appear briefly as a cameo seated on a stone wall next to Tar Baby from Song of the South (holding up a sign saying "Visit La Brea Tar Pits"), along with some other cartoon characters, in Toontown.
