Not much is known about Stump since he makes a very brief appearance in the film, only being it for less than a minute. However, he is very open-minded since he does not hold prejudice against other elements. He also seems to enjoy his job which becomes evident at the start of the movie when he warmly welcomed Bernie Lumen and Cinder Lumen during their arrival in Element City.
Physical Appearance[]
Stump is an Earth Element with a wooden log for a nose. Similar to other Earth Elements, he has a trimmed wooden log with twigs accompanied by small leaves on top of his head. He also has a mole on the left side of his face in the form of a small stone.
Role in the film[]
Stump is first seen at the beginning of the film where he handles the immigration forms for Bernie and Cinder, who stated their actual names in their native Firish language and Bernie made fire sounds when Stump asks them to spell their names. Stump names them Bernie and Cinder to ease up things, stamps their immigration forms before giving it to them and welcomes them to Element City.
Trivia[]
It's possible that Stump is just as bigoted to Fire elements like a majority of citizens in Element City and that he was only cordial to Bernie and Cinder because his job required him to be.
He is titled "Earth Immigration Officer" in the end credits.
