Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam is a 2010 Disney Channel Original Movie and sequel to the 2008 film Camp Rock. The movie premiered on September 3, 2010 on Disney Channel in the USA, along with a live simulcast on Radio Disney. The film was released on DVD and Blu-Ray Disc on September 7, 2010, in the United States and Canada. The movie had a bigger budget then the first movie, and is currently the second most expensive Disney Channel Original Movie, the first being High School Musical 2.

Plot

Mitchie Torres returns to Camp Rock to be reunited with all of her camp friends ("Brand New Day"), especially Shane Gray. They both decide to spend the summer knowing each other better. Shane arrives at camp in a chicken wagon with Nate and Jason, who also happen to be his brothers after their tour bus had fallen into the lake.

Meanwhile, Camp Star, a new rival camp located across the lake, invited Camp Rock to attend a friendly bonfire. After seeing Camp Star's performance headlined by Luke Williams, Camp Star's top star, some campers, including former Camp rock star Tess Tyler, decide to leave Camp Rock and join Camp Star. Many of the staff also leave due to the fact that Camp Star's owner Axel Turner promises to double their salaries. He also adds that the cabins are air conditioned. Tess quickly becomes partners with Luke on all of Camp Star's performances. Although they perform very well together and look like they make a great team, they constantly fight over the spotlight as they are both greedy.

Meanwhile, Nate falls in love with Dana, daughter of Axel; however, Dana's father refuses to let her meet him because he is the competition. Since most of Camp Rock's staff has left, Mitchie and her gang of friends who have stayed behind take it upon themselves to be Camp Rock counselors ("Can't Back Down"). At first, the new counselors struggle to keep up with their new schedules. But eventually everyone finds their niche.

When discussing the future of Camp Rock, Mitchie and her friends plan a showdown between the two camps at Final Jam ("It's On"). Camp Star agrees as Axel suggests they should challenge each other to Camp Wars, a showdown being broadcast live on TV. At first Mitchie is persistent and the other Camp Rock members are not that into it. But they learn that together they can win. Shane wants to go on a date with Mitchie but she is too focused on the Camp Wars to agree ("Wouldn't Change A Thing"). The next day Shane realizes Mitchie was right, so he, and the whole camp, put their heart and soul into it ("Heart and Soul").

Jason and the Junior Rockers are watching Tess and Luke perform during their rehearsal ("Walking In My Shoes"). Axel texts and tweets every mobile phone in the western hemisphere persuading people to vote for Camp Star. At the Final Jam, Tess and Luke perform their song ("Tear It Down"). Although Camp Rock put their heart and soul into their performance with Shane and Mitchie singing lead vocals, the rest of the campers as dancers and musicians, and a video made by Trevor (Frankie Jonas) of their time together airing during the song ("What We Came Here For"). Camp Star wins presumably due to Axel's biased ad campaign, while Mitchie cries, Camp Star embraces their win, a Junior Rocker uncrosses her fingers, and Tess comforts Mitchie, while everybody else from Camp Rock is devastated because Camp Rock has to close down, since they lost. Despite the loss, Camp Rock's performance earns great applause from the crowd and Tess is shown to feel bad about the win as she knows Camp Rock deserved it.

The remaining Camp Rock staff and campers return to Camp Rock. Whilst packing up banners, Mitchie and Shane share a kiss. Afterwards, all the campers and staff gather and sing around the campfire one last time together ("This Is Our Song"). As they enjoy themselves, many of Camp Star's campers including Tess, Dana and Luke show up having seen the bonfire and ask to join in. Tess and some other members of Camp Star request to go to Camp Rock the next summer because it is much more fun than Camp Star, meaning that Camp Rock will have enough campers to remain open for the next summer.

Production

Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam was filmed at YMCA Camp Wanakita in Haliburton, Ontario and Kilcoo Camp in Minden, Ontario beginning in August 2009. Reportedly, the hardest scene to film was the opening number "Brand New Day" due to inclement weather. The mess hall scenes, including the dance number "We Can't Back Down", were filmed at a studio, not on the actual set.

Script

(Everyone is getting ready for Camp to open. While Mitch and Connie are in the car getting to Camp.)

Mitchie: (Screams.) Turn, turn. There's the sign. Oh my gosh! I can't believe we've finally here. (Laughs.) Oh wait. I told Shane I will text him when we are almost there.

Connie: Oh.Mitchie.

Mitchie: What?

Connie: Nothing. Nothing.

Mitchie: Come on mom. It is obviously something. I mean you and settle aren't really good friends.

Connie: Hu. You and Shane talk all the time. You haven't seen this boy for almost over a year. I just don't won't you to be too disappointed honey if he can't come to Camp this summer.

Mitchie: Mom.

Connie: I want you to have fun and focus on your music.

Mitchie: First off. This is going to be the best summer ever and second. Nothing can make me lose my focus.

(Mitchie and Connie drive pass a sign which says Camp Star on it.)

Mitchie: What is that. Has someone opened another Camp.

(They are both really shocked as they drove past it. They both finally arrive at Camp Rock. As loads of families wait, Mitchie and her mom gets bag out of the car.)

Mitchie: Seriously. Why did someone open another Camp across the lake?

Connie: Arg. Who knows. But its nothing to worry about.

Mitchie: (Screams.) Caitlyn.

Caitlyn: Aah. Mitchie.

(They both ran to each other.)

Connie: (Taking a deep breathe.)

Mitchie: Hi. Caitlyn.

Caitlyn: How are you?

Mitchie: I'm great.

Caitlyn: Let me take it for you. (Grabbing her guitar.)

Mitchie: Thank you. I was so affraid we would get here in time. But it doesn't look like too many people got here yet.

Caitlyn: Well do you know what this means? Since we are the first ones here we totally get our first choice of.

(As Caitlyn opens the door, they both get a surprise.)

Caitlyn: Look.

(Mitchie, Caitlyn, Peggy and Ella all screams. They all start to talk.)

All: Hi. You look lovely.

(As Tess turns around and walks up.)

Tess: Well I guess no one cares about my life.

Caitlyn: What do we know. You keep changing your status every 2 seconds.

(Mitchie taps Tess on the arm and smiles.)

All: (Laughs.)

Tess: I have a question and its for Mitchie.

Mitchie: For me?

Tess: So. What's going on with you and Shane.

(Peggy and Ella giggle at what Mitchie is about to say.)

Mitchie: Nothing is going on.

Caitlyn: That's a total lie.

Mitchie: You guys are obsessed.

(They all laugh.)

Mitchie: No seriously. I don't know I just. I feel like if we don't spend too much time together the nothing ever gonna happen.

(Out in the middle of nowhere a bus is broken down.)

Shane: Just one more crank and I think I got it. Mmmm. That's not good.

Nate: Can we just wait for the tow truck. Oliver tried and he couldn't get it.

Shane: That's because Oliver isn't that properly motivated. He's not trying to get to Camp Rock before Mitchie.

Oliver: We should of never taken that shortcut.

Jason: Maybe because Oliver doesnt even know Mitchie. Does he.

(Shane tries to fix the tire when Nate pulls out the spanner.)

Shane: Thanks.

(The brothers start to walk.)

Shane: It's gonna be really cool. She is gonna walk in and I will be sitting their and I will say.

(All stop.)

Shane: "Hey Mitchie." She is gonna be so surprised.

(They start to walk again.)

Nate: "Hey Mitchie." That's your big line.

Shane: Trust me. Everything is cool, when I do it. I'm just finally excited about spending time with her.

(Jason gets something out of his pocket.)

Jason: Ah. Here you go.

Shane: Is this from the tire?

Jason: Yeah. I saw it leaning on the ground and I thought it was important, so I picked it up and put it in my pocket.

Shane: Why didn't you tell me this earlier?

Jason: How can I told you if I didn't remember it.

Shane: It's fine. It's just one bolt. Right.

Jason, Nate: Yeah.

Oliver: Screams.

Nate: No

Shane: Please no.

All the brothers: No, no, no, no, no.

Nate: No.

Shane: Urg.

All the brothers: No, no, no, no, no, no.

(The truck full in the river.)

Jason: Told you that's important.

(Nate and Jason walks off while Shane just stares at the bus and in a second he follows his brothers.)

Caitlyn: Where is everybody.

Mitchie: I know there is nobody out there.

Peggy: I sure hope you got something to do at the Opening Jam because if not. I got nothing.

Mitchie: Kinda. Maybe. Sorta. I don't know. I.

Caitlyn, Peggy, Ella: Let's hear it. Sing it.

Mitchie: Um. OK.

(Caitlyn, Peggy and Ella laugh as Mitchie turns around with her song book.)

Mitchie: It's not finished.

Peggy: OK. Come on.

Mitchie: It's nothing special.

Caitlyn, Peggy, Ella: Come on.

Mitchie: "Last years old news. I'm breaking up my six string. I'm playing from my heart."

Peggy: That is amazing.

Caitlyn: I love it.

Ella: You're so good.

Mitchie: Really. Thank you. That's all I got so far. I have a lot of lyrics but the music not really worked out yet.

Ella: Maybe. We can sing the first part over and over again.

(Mitchie hears a tune in the background.)

Mitchie: That's it.

Ella: Really. No one ever agree's with me. (Laughs.)

(Mitchie, Caitlyn, Peggy, Ella and Tess laughs and walks outside.)

Mitchie: Barron, Sander.

Barron: Hey. What's up?

All: Hi.

(Mitchie and her friends sit down with Barron and Sander.)

Mitchie: Play it again.

Sander: For you Mitchie. Anything. Let's Rock.

Brand New Day By Mitchie.

Ohh ohh

This time I'm gonna sing and you're

gonna hear it

This time I'm gonna show you that I

got the spirit

It's a brand new day

And I'm feelin' good

And I'm feelin' good

So drama free (so drama free)

I'm all about the music

I just wanna sing

Watch me live out my dreams

I'm gonna rock that stage and give

my everything

I'm gonna dance until my feet can't

move

Come along in the grove

Let's shone so bright more than we did

before

It's a brand new day

(Don't you see me)

Changing up my way

(So completely)

This time I'm gonna sing and you're

gonna hear it

This time I'm gonna show you that I

got the spirit

It's a brand new day

And I'm feelin' good

(What you gonna do? What you

gonna do?)

I'm gonna laugh through the summer

with you

(Who you gonna be? Who you gonna

be?)

You'll just have to watch me carefully

(Where you gonna go? Where you

gonna go?)

Anywhere my heart wants me to go

I'm gonna sing I'm gonna dance

I'm gonna ride I'm gonna ride

I'm gonna try my game in everything

Cause its a brand new day

(Don't you see me)

Changing up my way

(So completely)

This time I'm gonna sing and you're

gonna hear it

This time I'm gonna show you that I

got the spirit

Its a brand new day

It's a brand new day

Changing up my way

This time I'm gonna sing and you're

gonna hear it (gonna hear it)

This time I'm gonna show you that I

got the spirit (got the spirit)

It's a brand new day

(It's a brand new day)

And I'm feelin' good

Feelin' good

And I'm feelin' good

(The audience starts to clap and cheer.)

Brown: Whooa. Hey Alright. Mitchie Torres returns. Welcome to the heart and soul of Rock and Roll. Weather you're slick and happening or dark and jamming. Camp Rock is the place to be. Yeah.

(Croud cheers)

Brown: Now. You might of notice that there aren't that many people as last years past. But not to worry.

(A truck come through the Camp with Connect 3 on it. The audience Screams.)

Mitchie: (Screams.) Shane. (Runs to see him.)

Connie: Sorry. She does that.

Brown: Rockers. My nephews but better known as Connect 3.

Shane: Hey. (Screams.)

Jason: We should of not tied his shoes together.

Nate: He says he can make anything look cool.

Shane: Woah. (He has got a chicken on his head.)

Nate: Oh and I believe she stands corrected.

Mitchie: Shane.

(Shane gets the chicken off of his head and gives it to one of his brothers.)

Mitchie: Are you alright?

Shane: Yeah. I'm fine.

(Mitchie has a little giggle.)

Shane: Surprise!!

(Shane and Mitchie hug each other happily with the croud cheering.)

Brown: Alright. They are gonna be with us through the entire summer.

Mitchie: The whole summer.

Shane: Absolutely.

Brown: The official reason being they miss their Uncle. But I don't think thats the entire story.

(All the audience stares at Shane and Mitchie.)

Audience: Oooooh.

Jason: Everybody is staring by all do something. React or weave.

Shane: Hey guys. I'm Shane and this is Jason and Nate.

(Audience cheers.)

Shane: You know it's going to be hard but treat us like Campers.

(The audience turns back round.)

Shane: Wow. I guess that wasn't that hard.

Brown: Yeah as I was saying. Um. We are a little smaller this year and curtisy of new friends across the lake Camp Star. And not so convidience lead by my out to destroy me, still mad that I kicked him out of group former band mate Axel Turner.

(Jason and Nate joins Brown on stage.)

Tess: Axel Turner. The guy who owns Star Records is across the lake.

Brown: Yes. And I share you disane Tess. Thanks you for that. Now it's gonna take some effort but I'm sure that we can all piecefully co-exist on the lake. Yeah.

(A noise that they heard was boats on the lake moving and shooting something in the air.)

Jason: We are under attack.

(Everyone looks up in the sky including Shane and Mitchie. Goodies are in the basket that are fallen from the sky and people tries and catches them.)

Barron: Nice.

Peggy: It's full of marshmallows.

Caitlyn: This one has got chocolate.

Barron: Gram crackers.

(Mitchie reads the card from Camp Star.)

Mitchie: Camp Rock is invited to an opening night bonfire.

(Everyone cheers.)

Brown: No, no, no. Absolutely not. No.

(Everyone Screams the word bonfire.)

Brown: This is a set up. (Talking to Connie.) For what I'm sure of.

Connie: Come on Brown. It will be fun. You said yourself we need to get along right. This is not because I haven't had desert yet. This is really good chocolate.

(Camp Rock sails out to Camp Star.)

Tess: One word. Wow!

Caitlyn: This isn't Camp. It's a resort.

Tess: Like that's a bad thing.

Nate: Right. I got it.

Shane: Woah. I ain't got it.

(Shane has one foot off the boat and one on the boat.)

Shane: Woah.

Nate: I think we should add it to the un-cool list. (Walks off.)

Shane: A little help. A little help please.

(Mitchie helps Shane out.)

Shane: Thank you, thank you.

Mitchie: See. This is the thing you can't learn on email.

Shane: Maybe we should come back to that.

(A Camp Rock Counselor runs after the Junior Rockers.)

Counselor: Wait. Wait for me.

Jason: Hey. What's up guys? (Gives high 5.) I remember when I was a Junior Rocker. Is that... Is that a camera bud.

Jr Rocker Trevor: Don't touch it.

Jason: Do you think I am going to drop it in the water?

(They both let go of the camera and it goes in the water.)

Jason: Even if you thought that. Guess you can be right.

Jr Rocker Trevor: You dropped it Curley. You swim for it.

Jason: Nah.

Axel: Brown. My man. Long time.

(Connie walks up with Brown.)

Connie: Hi. I'm Connie.

Axel: Hi.

Brown: Listen Axel. I don't know what you are actually playing at.

Axel: Woah, woah, woah. Your breaking the step. I'm beginning to think why I left the band.

Brown: Left the band. You, you left the band. That is so rich. Is that what you have been telling people?

Axel: You my friend have to stop living in the past. I'm trying to reach out to you here.

Brown: Reach out. Reach out by driving me out of business.

Axel: There's no reason why we can't both be sussessful. We both had on a leash.

Brown: Leash?

Axel: Camp Star is dedicated to producing the superstar for tomorrow. And what's you place about again?

Brown: Encouraging kids to love their music Axel.

Axel: Like I said. Room for both of us. (Walks away.)

Brown: You. You know just to be clear. He did not leave the band. We kicked him out.

Connie: I know. I know. It's OK. (Walks off.)

Brown: We kicked him out. (Follows Connie.)

Shane: Question. What do you say you and I break away and finally take you on a first date?

Mitchie: Answer. I like that.

(They both walk up the steps to see what the stage is like.)

Mitchie: Wow.

Tess: I know right. It's all been what I have been saying ever since I got off the boat.

(Shane and Mitchie look at each other while Mitchie finds her seat.)

Mitchie: Come on.

(Shane walks behind Mitchie. Nate is standing looking at the stage when Jason comes over.)

Jason: Ready?

Nate: We really shouldn't be here. It's so obvious this guy doing it to get back at Brown. First he tries to take down all our Campers and now Camp Rock. What is that?

Jason: Hot Chocolate. They're handing it out for free as you walk in. Plus you get to keep the mug.

(Nate looks at Jason weirdly.)

Jason: What?

Nate: There is no way that I am staying at this bonfire.

Dana: Hey powdy boy. You better hurry the bonfire is about to start. (Walks to the stage.)

Nate: You know what? We should probably go and take our seats. I think there about to start.

Jason: Mmm hum.

Nate: Don't mock.

Jason: I'm not.

Nate: Yes you are.

Jason: OK. Just a little bit. (Follows Nate.)

Ella: Look. They actually have a real wardrobe department with incredible fabric and Olivia made this. Uh oh. I think I sowed my scarf to my bra.

(As they sit down Peggy and Tess starts to have a little giggle. Shane and Mitchie sits near them.)

Mitchie: So. I thought this was suppose to be a campfire. You know singing, telling stories and a actual fire.

Axel: Everybody have a seat. (Walks on stage. Audience cheers.) I'm Axel Turner and like to welcome all of you Rockers and my dear old friend Ranson Cesario. (Points at Brown.)

(Brown gives a wave.)

Jason: Yeah. Brown.

Axel: To Camp Star.

(Brown takes a seat next to Shane and looks at Axel.)

Axel: Do you want to hear a speech. Do you want to get to know what a campfire is all about. (Pause.)... Singing.

Ella: Hey. (To Mitchie.) That's what you just said. Your twins.

Axel: So does anyone have anything they would like to play. Camp Rockers don't be shy.

(Camp Rockers does not respond. Mitchie, Ella, Peggy and Tess stands up.)

Mitchie: We will do it if no one else will do it.

(Audience cheers and claps for Mitchie and her friends. Brown give a smurk. They walk down to the stage with her guitar.)

Mitchie: This song is about me and a friend of mine.

(Shane smiles and claps for Mitchie and so does the audience.)

Different Summers By Mitchie.

We're like a melody with no words

Until we figure it out

We sing

La, la, la, la, la, la

I know it's simple yeah

But its worked right up 'til now

Cause, up 'til now, yeah

Every day's been like a dream world,

Oh, but now you're not just in my

head

Oh, no

Will we remember different

summers?

It's like tossing your heart to see

where it lands

Heads is easy

Tails is harder to plan

If we're starting all over again and

again and again

Oh, You know that I can't help but

wonder

What's gonna happen next?

I'm a little curious, oh yeah

Every star that I stood under,

When you were under it too

Did you ever think about us?

I hope you did 'cause I can tell you

That's something I'll never forget

I won't forget

(Clapping)

If we remember different summers

It's like tossing your heart to see

where it lands

Heads is easy

Tails is harder to plan

Of we're starting all over again

Only friends

Just beginning

But I hope that we find it again

So we can go from there

We will remember different

summers?

It's like tossing your heart to see

where it lands

Heads is easy

Tails is harder to plan

If we're starting all over again oh-oh

Again and again and again and again

Again and again and again

We will remember different

summers?

(Shane looks happy and smiles. Brown and Nate and Jason also ssmiles and the audience cheers.)

Shane: Wooah.

(Girls walk off the stage.)

Axel: That was sweet. But I guess its time for Camp Star to answer and huh. My apology. The embarrasses. We are kind of new at this. (Walks off the stage.)

FIRE

(As the song finishes with the word fire. Dana's bracelet is released from her wrist and hits Nate on the eye.)

Nate: Ow.

Jason: Hey. You OK?

(Dana notices that her bracelet is gone and knows that Nate has got it. The audience cheers and Mitchie and Shane look at each other.)

Axel: And that is how we do things here at Camp Star.

(Everyone cheers.)

Caitlyn: Wow.

(Nate looks at the bracelet and knows that it is Dana's.)

Axel: Um. Before we go anywhere further. I would like to make a quick announcement. We are having staffing problems. Who know we can be so popular.

(Brown looks at Shane.)

Brown: OK. Now we are under attack.

Axel: So I would just like to put it out there. If there are any Camp Rock Counselors or staff who would like to make the switch. I would be willing to double you salary.

(Shane and Mitchie and their friends are really shocked.)

Brown: You got to be joking. We barely have as much staff as it is.

Male Counselor: I'll do it.

Shane: What?

(Other Camp Rock Counselors also get up to join Camp Star.)

Jason: No.

Axel: Also any Camp Rockers who would like to join us and I am sure I will be able to find you a bunk. Oh. Did I mention our cabins are aired conditioned.

Mitchie: He can't do this.

Brown: Alright I need all Camp Rockers to get on the boats now. Well come on. Go. Please.

Jason: Come on guys. Back to the boats. Let's go.

(All Camp Rockers go to the boats while Connie doesn't want to give the mug back but she does and she heads to the boats.)

Nate: Are you sure its OK?

(Shane looks at his eye.)

Shane: Just a scratch.

Dana: I'm really sorry about that.

Nate: Oh. It's all good. I'm fine.

(Shane puts his arm around Nate and Nate take Shane's arm off him.)

Nate: I'm just happy that I catched it for you.

Dana: Well. It's always kinda been my lucky charm. I guess it still works.

(Dana and Nate stare at each other for a quick second.)

Shane: What about the part where it hit you in the eye.

(Nate gives a look at Shane.)

Shane: I'll be over there.

Nate: So. Dana. You were amazing up there.

Dana: You think. I'm just glad that it is finally over. I was practising for weeks. Still every time I go on I'm almost feel like I'm going to throw up. (Nate stares at Dana and she does it to.) I'm really glad you guys came. My dad was totally sure that nobody will show. My dad is Axel Turner.

Nate: He's your dad.

Dana: (Laughs.) Everybody says it exactly like that. Trust me once you get to know him, he's a really nice guy. Well I guess I should go.

Nate: Here. You don't want to lose it. (Giving Dana her bracelet.)

Dana: You can keep it if you want.

Nate: What would I do with a bracelet.

Dana: Right. For the record I'm glad you're OK. You got really pretty eyes.

(Nate smiles while he moves his eyes.)

Dana: Aha. Sorry that was weird. I didn't mean for you to get uncomfortable.

Nate: No. It's all good. People told me that all the time. Um. Maybe because they are right up in my face. So.

(Nate has nothing to say as he see's Axel behind Dana.)

Dana: So. What. (Turns around.) Um. I'll see you around.

Nate: OK.

(Dana walks away.)

Nate: Yes I want to keep it, you have pretty eyes too. Stupid. (Walks to Shane.) I'm a idiot.

Shane: Ha. Something that we can both agree on.

(Nate punches Shane.)

Shane: Ow. A strong idiot.

Axel: Hey. I don't want you talking to that boy.

Dana: Don't worry. I don't think that it's gonna be a problem.

Axel: OK. Come on.

Mitchie: Rockers. Boat now. Huh. Wow. Now this is a recording studio.

Luke: Hey.

(Mitchie turns around.)

Mitchie: Um. Hi. Can I help you with something.

Luke: Do I look like I need help.

Mitchie: Uh. (Smiles.) Do I know you?

Luke: That's funny. I'm Luke. Luke Williams.

(Mitchie still smiles.)

Luke: I was just on stage like two minutes ago. Oh. "I'm givin you the fireeee oooh nooo."

Mitchie: Wow. Impressive.

Luke: I know. It's my thing. So. You think on coming over here.

Mitchie: Uh. No. I am perfectly happy were I am.

Luke: Well. You are Shane Gray girlfriend. So.

Mitchie: Wait. What has Shane. (Starts to look mad.) How do you ever know that?

Luke: You have to know the players to play the game. Right.

Mitchie: No.

Luke: It's a tough business.

Mitchie: It's summer camp.

Luke: To you, but to anybody at Camp Star is step one to a long luxurious career and I don't have time to 2nd rate.

Mitchie: We're not 2nd rate.

Luke: You don't have to get all offensive. It's none of my business. You don't have to try and convince me.

Mitchie: We're not trying to do anything.

Luke: Good. You know the perfect place for you. (About to walk out.)

Mitchie: Look. Just so that we're clear. Luke, I'm giving you the fire. Williams or whatever your name is. Not 1 Camp Rocker not 1 in a million years come about coming over to this narcy statistic, produce ego factory.

(Tess walks in.)

Tess: Guess what. My mom said yes. I can make the switch.

Luke: That's great. Welcome to the ego factory.

Tess: Thanks.

Mitchie: Tess. How could you.

Tess: Oh. Um. I'm so sorry. I feel horrible but.

(Her and Luke both giggle.)

Tess: Who am I kidding. I am so excited I can't pretend to be simphethetic. That was great what you did up there. "I'm givin you the fire." So impressive.

Luke: I know right.

Mitchie: (Acts surprised.) Wow. Good luck trying to find a big enough spotlight for the both of you. Huh.

(Back at Camp Rock.)

Mitchie: No. You guys. It's gonna be OK. I mean Brown's a smart guy. He can figure something out.

(Brown walks in.)

Brown: Thanks for the vogue of confidence Mitchie. (Smiles at Mitchie.)

Brown: I guess I don't need to get everyone's attention. So the good news is and this really warms my heart. We lost very few Campers last night.

(Everyone cheers. While Brown smiles.)

Brown: But. We did lose quite of our remaining staff. Which means and I can't believe I have to say this. Camp Rock is closed. Effectively and immediately.

(Everyone moans with the word what.)

Brown: Look you have to believe me. I truely haven't got any other option. I'll start calling parents as soon as we're done here. Which I guess is now. I'm sorry. (Walks away.)

Shane: Brown wait. Guys. (Connect 3 and Connie goes after Brown.)

Ella: Camp Rock is over. But we just got here.

Caitlyn: It's not his fault. I mean there's nothing he can do about it.

(Mitchie steps out.)

Mitchie: But. That doesn't mean that there is anything that we can do about it.

Peggy: Mitchie.

Mitchie: No. I'm serious. This is our summer and we're not giving up. We're not backing down.

Caitlyn: I don't know Mitchie.

We Can't Back Down By Mitchie.

We can't

We can't back down (x4)

Not right now

We can't back down

Not right now

We can't back down

We can't back down

Don't close your eyes

We're all in this together

Wherever we draw the line

We're not gonna straddle across it

Or lose it

We can't back down

There's too much at stake

This is serious

Don't walk away

We can't pretend its not happening

In our backyard

(No way)

We've been called out

(We've been called out)

Do you hear your name?

(Yeah)

I'm not confused

Let's win this thing

(Let's do it)

We can't back down

There's too much at stake

Don't walk away

Don't walk away, yeah

Don't get me wrong

I don't like confrontation

I'd rather we all just get along

Music should be undivided, united

We can't back down

There's too much at stake

This is serious

We can't pretend it's not happening

In our backyard

(No way)

We've been called out

(We've been called out)

Do you hear your name?

(Yeah)

I'm not confused

Let's win this thing

(Let's do it)

We can't back down

There's too much at stake

Don't walk away

Don't walk away, yeah

We got a situation that we can't

ignore

'Cause ignorance is not bliss

We don't have to take this, no

With every big decision

Come an equally important share of

the risk

We gotta take this

We can't back down

There's too much at stake

This is serious

Don't walk away

We can't pretend it's not happening

In our backyard

Our own home plate

We've been called out

Do you hear your name?

I'm not confused

Let's win this thing

We can't back down

There's too much at stake

Don't walk away

Don't walk away, yeah

We can't back down

We can't back down

Not right now

We can't back down

(Brown opens the door to the music cabin.)

Brown: What's going on. (In a bad tone.)

Mitchie: Well. You said you needed some new Counselors. So. I found you some.

(All of Mitchie's friends behind her and gave a wave.)

Brown: (Smiles.) Well I better call a staff meeting to order.

(All of them say yes.)

Mitchie: Thank you.

(One staff rings the bell.)

Jason: No. Not guys.

(Shane and Nate pushes Jason along.)

Jason: I already told you. I'm not gonna be doing this.

Nate: Jason. You are looking at this all wrong. This isn't punishment... It's a reward.

Jason: Really.

Nate: Really. It just means that everybody thinks you got the leadership skills, maturity, intelligent

Jason: You think I'm intelligent.

Nate: No. And sure guts take on this challenge.

(Shane looks at Nate.)

Shane: Wow. You're good.

Nate: Thank you.

Jason: You're right. This is an honour.

Nate: Exactly. Now get in there and make us proud.

(Jason gets the clipboard and shakes hands with Nate.)

Nate: We'll be right here if you need us.

(Jason walks up to the cabin and turns around to give the thumbs up to his brothers.)

Jason: Alright. (Walks in.)

Shane, Nate: (Quietly.) Run.

Jason: Hi everybody. I'm Jason. I'm gonna be you Counselor. I'm a little new at this, so I thought you guys go a little bit easier on me. What do you say?

Jr Rocker Jamal: I say. Let's get him.

Jr Rocker Trevor: Guys, guys, guys. Hold on a second.

(All the kids stop. Jr Rocker Trevor gets out his video camera.)

Jr Rocker Trevor: Now get him.

Jason: No, no, no (x3.)

(Kids scream and jump on Jason and all scream to the floor.)

(Mitchie puts up a sign and smiles.)

Caitlyn: Alright. Let's dance. (Walks into the drumming session.)

Caitlyn: Sorry.

(Nate is also late and runs into the dancing session. Nate waves and runs to find his session. Also Ella walks into the drumming session but stays there.)

Jr Rockers: (Screams and runs around.)

(Jason is under the table protecting himself and made a house out of wood. Peggy walks out of her class while Mitchie has got nobody - own her own. Peggy later sits down with her head in her hands while Mitchie goes under the table scared.)

(Mitchie talks to Shane, Nate and Barron.)

Mitchie: All good.

Shane, Nate, Barron: All good.

Mitchie: Let's do it.

(All walks away.)

(Caitlyn later finds her class and her class cheers.)

Caitlyn: Yes. Here we go guys. Alright. Circle, down, bone, head, knee, out.

(Mitchie is out on the beach with her class and playing on the guitars.)

Peggy: Louder.

Jr Rockers: La, la, la, la, la.

Peggy: Awesome.

Ella: How about this. What do you think.

(Mitchie walks out of the cabin.)

Peggy: (To Mitchie.) Hi. (Waves.)

(Mitchie walks down the steps. Shane notices Mitchie and waves while Mitchie smiles. Mitchie watches Ella with her class and stills smiles. Caitlyn walks up the path with her class and puts the thumbs up to Mitchie. Mitchie nodds her head.)

(Back at the cabin with the Jr Rockers. They throw something and hits Jason's wooden house he makes and is frustrated.)

Jason: Urrgh. (Gets up.) That's enough.

(Jr Rockers stop.)

Jason: Do you want to Rock. Well do you know what. You don't deserve to Rock. Why should I show you the first thing of becoming a Rock star if you don't want to show me any respect. Well OK then. Who wants to play the drums?

(2 boy Jr Rockers puts hands up.)

Jason: Who wants to play the guitar?

(6 Jr Rockers puts hands up.)

Jason: Who wants to be a lead singer?

(1 Jr Rocker puts hand up.)

Jason: Well. You are gonna have to buy guitar pants and learn how to play the tamperine.

Shane: I heard that. (Walking past the cabin.)

Jason: Sorry. (Quietly.) Its true.

(Outside in the bushes and trees Nate uses binoculars to see Dana on the opposite side of the lake. Shane walks past and sees Nate.

Shane: Nate.

Nate: (Jumps.) Yeah. Shane. (Laughs.) What's up bro?

Shane: What are you doing?

Nate: Um. (Thinks.) Lifeguard duty. Schedule a mess. Can't be too careful.

(Shane looks at the clipboard.)

Nate: Just one last look. (Looks at Dana.) All clear. (Gets up and goes.)

(Shane looks and walks away. In the hall.)

Shane: So. What do I have to do to pull you away from this clipboard?

(Mitchie smiles at Shane.)

Connie: Mitchie. I just rolled a pound of hamburgers all by myself. I told you honey that I needed help.

(Mitchie looks at clipboard.)

Mitchie: No, no, no! That's impossible. I know for a fact I scheduled...

(Brown comes over.)

Mitchie: Absolutely nobody. I'm so sorry.

Brown: What's going on?

Connie: Hu. This isn't working. The kitchen is a disaster. Yesterday I ordered 50 pounds of black beans, and delivered 50 pounds of beach balls instead.

(They all look at Sander and Barron blowing up the beach balls.)

Mitchie: Well. I can admit mom. You don't have the best handwriting.

(Connie stares at Mitchie.)

Brown: OK. It's Rock and Roll. It's going to be a little chaotic but I think your doing great. Just make some adjustments to the schedule. Yeah. Perfect. Shane help Connie with the hamburgers. (Walks away.)

Shane: Actually. I got this thing.

Connie: Oh well really. Come on pretty boy.

Shane: Well I. But. (Turns his head round to Mitchie.)

(Mitchie laughs. At the drum session.)

Nate: Alright. That's it. Picl it up. Bring it home. I knew that you could do it. Ah. It's getting a little late. So what do you say go and spend on some free time.

All the drummers: Yeah.

(Nate runs out and sails to the middle of the lake staring.)

Sander: (To Nate.) Hey man. (Scares Nate.) What are you doing?

Nate: Why does everybody keep doing that?

Sander: Sorry. We're just doing our part as activity director.

Nate: What's the activity today? (Worried.)

Sander: Wave boarding. (Sander goes.)

Nate: No. Uh.

(Tips over Nate. Arrives at main land at Camp Star.)

Dana: Are you OK?

Nate: Yeah. I'm great.

Dana: Uh. Don't suppose you came over to see anybody particular.

Nate: Nope. Just getting some exercise.

Dana: (Sad.) Do you play a lot of sports?

Nate: Canoeing. It's pretty much it.

Dana: I'm not really all that sporty either. I played soccer when I was little but who doesn't. I don't count this as a sport but I kinda like to be a dancer. It's like my nerdy secret. If it would be anything wish. What would you be?

Nate: I don't know. I'd never really thought about it.

Dana: Probably because if you could be anything you'd be you.

(Nate giggles. So does Dana.)

Dana: Uh. Do you want to show something really stupid. I was goofing around and I accidentally sorta wrote your name on my hand but using permanent ink. It was a mistake.

Nate: No one has ever written my name on their hand before.

Dana: Really more on my wrist. (Laughs.)

Nate: Dana.

Dana: Yeah.

Axel: Dana.

(Nate is shocked.)

Dana: Oh God. It's my dad. I'm so sorry. I'm not suppose to be talking to you. Hurry.

(Nate hides underneath the boat away from Dana's dad.)

Dana: Go.

Axel: Dana. Dana.

Dana: Hey. I saw this canoe.

Axel: Uh. Don't touch it. It's one of theirs. I'll get people to fish it out. What's that on your wrist?

Dana: Nothing.

(Axel walks off.)

Nate: You know what I wanna be? A kinda guy who tells you how he really feels. I hate canoes.

(Back at Camp Rock. Nate is damp as he walks along the beach.)

Nate: (To Shane.) I'm still an idiot.

Shane: I still agree. (Laughs.) Dude you can't keep hitting me. Thank you.

(Mitchie run up behind Shane and jumps on him. Mitchie starts laughing.)

Shane: Ow.

Nate: Thanks Mitchie.

Mitchie: I had an absolute the best day ever. Everything is finally starting to work out.

Shane: Great. It's all because of you.

Mitchie: No. It's because of us.

Shane: Now that everybody else has gotten your time. Maybe I have to demand some of my own.

Mitchie: It hasn't been that bad.

Shane: The whole reason that I am here. The reason why my brothers are here is so that I can get to know you better. It's only been like 2 seconds.

Mitchie: And that's the sweetest thing that anybody has even said to me.

Shane: But.

Mitchie: But.

Speaker: A friendly neighbourhood announcer. Will the Counselors get to the bonfire please report to the mess hall.

Shane: You have to go.

Mitchie: We've gotta go.

(Mitchie laughs and walks off while Shane is right behind her.)

Mitchie: Are you coming?

Shane: No. It's cool. I'll catch up.

Mitchie: Shane.

Shane: Go. They need you.

Mitchie: OK. (Waves and walks away.)

(At the bonfire. Connie walks over to Jason.)

Connie: Hey. I'm impresses.

Jason: Yeah.

Connie: You'll doing much better with them.

Jason: It took a little bit of time but I finally gained their respect.

(Jr Rocker whisper and has a little giggle. Connie walks away.)

Jason: Who glued me to this log?

Jr Rocker: Log butt, log butt. We're gonna call you log butt.

Jason: Do you know whats worse being called log butt, is being sat on by log butt.

Connie: Oooh ooh.

Brown: Run.

(Jason runs after the Jrs.)

Brown: Run. He's coming.

Connie: Oooh.

Jason: Come back here. Urg.

Jr Rocker Audrey: Fireflies.

Brown: Wow. Catch them everybody. Let's jump, jump.

(Axel, Luke and Tess are hinding in the bushes watching them.)

Axel: Mmm, mmm, mmm. Seem like a load of flies over there. There's no way they are gonna get through this summer. (Walks off.)

Tess: I remember doing that. It was fun.

Luke: Don't even think about it. (Walks away.)

(Tess just watches. Mitchie, Caitlyn, Ella, Peggy, Sander and Barron all sit down.)

Peggy: It felt so great just standing in front of that class today.

Caitlyn: I feels like there's nothing that I can't do.

Ella: Please. Still can't do please.

(All have a giggle.)

Sander: Wish we had all that attitude the other day at Camp Star.

Barron: Yeah. I just really wanted to show them up.

Peggy: That hardly counted they've been planning that for weeks.

Barron: Yeah. And now there like walking around like their better than us.

Peggy: So not true. You know I would really like to see us go against them.

Barron: Yeah.

Caitlyn: If we had time to get it together there's no way they will stand a chance. Like in Final Jam.

Peggy: There is just no way.

Mitchie: A lot of big talk. You wanna see if its true.

(All stares at Mitchie. At Camp Star.)

Luke: It's about time. My private vocal lesson started 10 minutes ago.

Tess: Oh. I'm sorry.  Forgot that Axel gives you the extra rehearsals.

(Camp Rock arrives at Camp Star.)

Camp Rockers: Camp Rock. Camp Rock. Oooh.

Mitchie: Yeah. That's right.

(Tess and Luke comes on the stage.)

Mitchie: We're here on you're stage. See you guys didn't really give us a chance to answer back that night. But guess what? That's gonna change. Camp Rock versus Camp Star the Final Jam.

Camp Star: Ooooh.

Mitchie: What do you guys think of that.

Barron: Drums. (Nate plays the drums.)

Sander: A little guitar please. (Shane and Jason on the guitar.)

Barron: 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4.
