Candice Patricia Bergen is an American actress, producer, and former fashion model, who is the daughter of Edgar Bergen. She is best known for her role as the title character of the CBS sitcom Murphy Brown (1988–1998, and 2018) and as Shirley Schmidt in the the ABC legal comedy-drama series Boston Legal (2004–2008).
Her only role so far in a Disney production was a guest appearance on The Muppet Show in episode 115. She also appeared in The Muppets Go Hollywood and contributed a "Tortellini Salad" recipe for Miss Piggy's cookbook In the Kitchen with Miss Piggy. Additionally, she played Mayor Kate Hennings in the 2002 Touchstone Pictures film Sweet Home Alabama.
