Steve Rogers (also known as Captain America) is a character who appears in the Marvel Studios Animation series X-Men '97. He was a volunteer of the Super Soldier Serum created by the United States to aide them during the Second World War where he led the Six American Warriors. One of the most iconic heroes of the century, he eventually made his way to modern times and became a prolific superhero and leader of the Avengers.
Steve Rogers was created by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon.

X-Men: The Animated Series[]
During World War II, Captain America worked with Wolverine on a mission to rescue a scientist named Andre Cocteau, who had been kidnapped by the Red Skull and the Nazis.
X-Men '97[]
In "Bright Eyes", Rogue encountered Captain America while hunting down the location of Henry Gyrich. Captain America briefly worked with her, learning Gyrich was in Mexico while learning of a mysterious organization known as "OZT." Rogue attempted to recruit Captain America into helping her apprehend Gyrich, but he refused, not wanting to cause an international incident. Incensed, Rogue took his shield and flung it at a mountain, preventing him from following her.
When Professor X used his psychic power on Magneto to revert the world-wide blackout caused by the latter, Captain America was present along with Iron Man at the White House, and together they fought against Bastion's Prime Sentinels to protect President Robert Kelly. When their threat was ended, he joined Black Panther in trying to prevent President Kelly from enacting the Magneto Protocols.
