Captain Bufo is a minor character in the 2019 animated series Amphibia. He is one of three lords and leader of the East Tower.

Physical appearance[]
Captain Bufo is a toad with greyish-green skin and yellow sclera eyes. He has long black hair tied in a modern rendition of the chonmage, a Japanese hair bun. Bufo has short, square shaved sideburns, and an evenly cut goatee. He wears a loose set of gray ō-yoroi, an early form of Samurai plated armor. The spaders on each arm are segmented in three pieces tied to the dark-gray breast plate with yellow ropes.
Role in the series[]
In "Barrel's Warhammer", Sasha, Grime, Percy, and Braddock arrive at the Toad summit to pitch their idea of taking over Newtopia and Amphibia. Everyone likes the idea, but do not want Grime to lead. Sasha impulsively takes the challenge of acquiring Barrel's Warhammer to prove their worth. Despite Percy and Braddock saying they should quit if things got too dangerous, Sasha ignores their pleas and together they face a giant worm to get the hammer back and to prove that she can make it without Anne or Macry. They are successful, but Percy and Braddock leave, unwilling to work with Sasha due to her not caring about their safety and well-being.
Captain Bufo made a cameo in "True Colors", where he leads the Toad army towards Newtopia but were shut out when Anne closed the gate. Once King Andrias had obtained the Calamity Box, he used it to power up his castle where Captain Bufo and his army were shocked. It is unknown what ever became of Bufo during the tyranny, as he was not seen again.
