"Captain Jake and the Never Land Pirates: The Legion of Pirate Villains" is a television special of the Disney Jr. animated series Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It premiered on October 1, 2016. It is the fifteenth episode in the fourth season, and the one hundred and tenth episode overall.
Plot[]
The Jolly Roger stops to look for treasure. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee decide to take the plunge to look for it, although the Strake lives in the cove below. Hook is only interested in the treasure that sank with the Mighty Colossus, which is the lost treasure of Captain Colossus. Sharky and Bones sing a song about how great the treasure is. Hook vows to find the treasure for himself. He and Smee then head in the water to look for the treasure. There, Lord Fathom and Sinker are planning to rule the Never Sea again. Fathom is ready to wake the Strake from his slumber when Hook and Smee drop in, detaching the piece of the DarkLight Emerald, before Hook is caught in a net. Fathom then goes for the DarkLight Emerald.
Smee returns to the surface and tells Sharky and Bones that Hook was stolen. On the Mighty Colossus, Jake and his crew are searching for the treasure, although Cubby is scared because they're going to Dreadnaught cove, which is where the Strake sleeps. Jake is trying to make sure Captain Hook doesn't wake the Strake up. Skully is on the lookout for Hook when Wildfire the Never Land Firebird arrives. She is spotted by the Grim Buccaneer.
Wildfire then taps on the Mighty Colossus, revealing a book from Captain Colossus. Jake mentions that all captains write about their travels in a journal. Skully wonders how Wildfire knows the book is in the ship. Izzy says that it's a mystery. Jake likes the story, stating that he must have explored all over the never world, when a key drops out. Jake says that it's made out of crystal. As Jake recites the story about Captain Colossus' treasure, the Grim Buccaneer overhears this. Izzy mentions that that's the treasure Jake's crew has never been able to find: the lost treasure of Captain Colossus. Jake continues the story, stating that Captain Colossus hid the keys that open the chest: a crystal key, a golden key, and an iron key. Skully tells Wildfire where the other two keys are. Wildfire then flies around, and Jake and his crew decide to find Captain Colossus' treasure. They first need to find the clues to the whereabouts of the other keys.
As the Grim Buccaneer continues sailing, Doctor Undergear is trying to control his machines when he falls down a trapdoor, courtesy of the Grim Buccaneer. In Frozen Guard, ShiverJack freeze snaps his snowmugs, stating that no one rests on Frozen Guard. He then hears laughter, and is caught by a chain, courtesy of the Grim Buccaneer. Somewhere in Neverland, Hook, Undergear, and ShiverJack wonder who did this to them. Once the lights turn on, they argue what happened to them when the door opens, revealing the Grim Buccaneer. ShiverJack and Undergear recognize him, but Hook refuses to believe the story. The Grim Buccaneer wanted Lord Fathom, as he is very powerful, and nothing like Hook. Hook believes that he is legendary, the number one villain of Neverland, and he snatches things from the villains. The Grim Buccaneer tells the villains that he wants the lost treasure of Captain Colossus, as it is now within their reach. If they work together, they can find it and split it four ways, equal shares.
The Grim Buccaneer tells the villains that they must get the keys that opened the chest, and that one of them was found by Captain Jake. Although he has been big trouble, he will no longer stand in the villains' way if the villains band together as a single force known as the Legion of Pirate Villains. They mention how great it will be to get the treasure and how they will stop Jake and his crew. The Grim Buccaneer plans to unveil his grim plan to the villains.
On the Mighty Colossus, Jake and his crew have no luck finding any clues of the treasure. Wildfire then shows everyone a picture of a castle, which is where the golden key is located. This is because the golden stone is called a keystone, which is a clue. Cubby shows that that is Big Stone Quarry on Neverland. This is where Jake and his crew go off to next. Undergear's mechanical shark gives chase.
Once Jake and his Crew are at Big Stone Quarry, Jake uses his crystal key to break the golden stone, revealing the golden key. The Grim Buccaneer overhears Captain Colossus' cool places to hide the keys to his treasure. Jake assumes that the the crystal and golden keys can help the crew find the iron key. Once he puts the keys with them, the keys pull him somewhere, and Izzy, Skully, Cubby, and Wildfire give chase. They then head to a keyhole-shaped cave, which is where the iron key is located. It is blended in with other keys. Eventually, the keys start to rattle, and the iron key drops. Now that Jake and his crew have all three keys, they can head to where the treasure his hidden. Wildfire then grabs Cubby's map, and Jake and his crew give chase.
They then bump into Smee, Sharky, and Bones, who tell them about Hook being pirate-napped. Jake and his crew decide to help find Hook. As for the treasure, it can wait, as Jake and his crew help mateys, even Hook. Hook then arrives, stating that he had been making new friends. The friends then arrive: Undergear, ShiverJack, and the Grim Buccaneer. The Grim Buccaneer tells Jake that he's after the lost treasure of Captain Colossus. He says that although he was once Colossus' first mate, he disappeared before he could he could find out where he hid his fortune. This is why the Grim Buccaneer has been following Wildfire, hoping that she would lead him to it. This reveals that Wildfire is related to Captain Colossus, which is how she knew where the keys were. Jake refuses to give up the keys, and mentions that Hook was once in the League of Pirate Captains. Hook says that he always goes with a winner, and the villains shall win. Jake holds off Grim while the others keep the rest of the villains on the run.
After a battle, Jake and his crew force the villains to retreat with many different methods. The Grim Buccaneer states that he can use caring more about others than himself. Izzy warns Jake about the Grim Buccaneer, and Jake notices this. Izzy drops her Pixie Dust through a tube in a log and blows it to make Undergear's mechanical crab fly away. As for ShiverJack, Cubby, Sharky, Bones, and Smee use the coconuts to knock away his ice staff. Jake deflects the Grim Buccaneer's net so that it catches Hook, who then falls on the Grim Buccaneer. After the Grim Buccaneer and Hook fall, Jake states that the Grim Buccaneer is not going to give up on the lost treasure of Captain Colossus. Wildfire knows where the treasure is hidden, and everyone follows her.
At night, Jake and his crew follow Wildfire to rocks that are Captain Colossus' symbols. Although it is foggy, they move on. According to Undergear's Underpirate Radar Disc 2000, he knows where the Mighty Colossus is. Hook tells him that the ship is straight ahead. The Grim Buccaneer knows the island as Colossus island, one that Captain Colossus would never tell him where it was. This is where his lost treasure is located.
Wildfire then shows everyone the pirate stronghold where the treasure is located. Izzy tells Jake that none of the keys open the door when the Legion of Pirate Villains show up. Jake again refuses to give up the keys to the villains, and ShiverJack freezes Smee, Sharky, and Bones. As Jake is distracted by the frozen figures, the Grim Buccaneer snatches the golden key. Jake and his crew retreat, although Grim has the golden key. Wildfire then activates a trapdoor that leads to the inside of the stronghold. Jake and his crew may never find the treasure, but it's the last thing on Jake's mind. They then see a statue of Captain Colossus, and Jake wishes he was still around. Wildfire then shows the crew where he is. The villains decide to find a way inside the stronghold, as the Grim Buccaneer wants the other two keys. Hook then flips a wheel which activates a trapdoor inside the stronghold, and the Grim Buccaneer gives chase.
Jake and his crew continue to follow Wildfire just as the villains enter the stronghold. They hear Cubby's voice, and the villains give chase, with the Grim Buccaneer leading. Jake and his crew follow Wildfire to a room. Cubby says that whoever lives here explored all over the Never World. Jake remembers seeing those things in the journal Captain Colossus wrote. Colossus himself them appears with Wildfire, and he appears worse than a shipwreck. Skully mentions that Wildfire lead the crew to Colossus. Jake says that they would do anything to help him, as he knows that the pirate is Captain Colossus. Jake introduces himself and knows all about Colossus and his adventures.
Jake mentions sailing on the Mighty Colossus and knowing Wildfire when Colossus realizes the ship, stating that the last time he saw it, the Strake sank it. Jake mentions how he used his mighty captain's sword to raise it up from the bottom of the Never Sea. Jake brings up the keys to Colossus' treasure. Colossus would have found them himself, but after his last battle, he decided to rest. Jake mentions that he lost one of the keys when Izzy mentions that the Grim Buccaneer stole it. Colossus knows him, stating that he tried to steal his treasure, and he left him alone to fight the Strake. Jake mentions that the Grim Buccaneer is the leader of the Legion of Pirate Villains - Hook, Undergear, and ShiverJack. Colossus then leads Jake and his crew to make sure his treasure is still safe. The villains overhear this.
Colossus mentions that his treasure is a bit more valuable than gold; King Neptune gave it to him so he could protect the Never Sea. It has great magical power; it can turn anyone who opens it into the most powerful pirate ever. Its power magnifies the skills the pirate already has. This is the reason why the Grim Buccaneer is after the treasure. If he or his partners get it, they'll be even stronger, smarter, colder, and sneakier than ever. The villains overhear the treasure's legendary power. Hook says that it's time for a new plan; to split the treasure between him and the Grim Buccaneer.
Colossus shows everyone the treasure hidden behind a globe showing every place across the Never World. Jake and his crew decide to help Colossus get the golden key back, as without it, Colossus can't open the chest. The Grim Buccaneer appears, misting the room to no one can see anything. Hook and the Grim Buccaneer then snatch the treasure before escaping. Wildfire gets rid of the mist, but Colossus is too weak to stop the Grim Buccaneer.
Once Hook and the Grim Buccaneer tow the treasure outside, they realize that they are missing the other two keys. ShiverJack and Undergear then appear, with the former stating that there was a deal; however, Grim wasn't telling the whole story. Hook mentions what will happen to a pirate if he opens the treasure. Everyone wants the treasure, but the golden key is useless without the other two keys. ShiverJack tries to freeze the chest to no avail. Undergear throws it, but it also doesn't work. Hook tris to pry it open with a crowbar with the same result. Despite this, the villains do not believe in failure.
Captain Colossus decides to rest, but after being persuaded by Jake and his crew, he decides to come along with them to get the last key. The villains continue to argue about the treasure when Jake, Izzy, and Cubby, who are hiding behind the statues, talk about their plan to vanquish the villains and get the golden key. Although it's too dangerous, Colossus decides to go out, as he refuses to let the Grim Buccaneer get the best of him. Hook will take on Jake while the Grim Buccaneer crushes Colossus. They will then share the power of the chest. Colossus says that he will never yield to grim when the villains arrive. During the fight, the Grim Buccaneer is told by Colossus that he treated him like a son. He then snatches the other two keys. Jake continues fighting with Hook, and mentions him teaming with the Grim Buccaneer. Jake tells Hook that he didn't help his crew, who are now frozen, at all. He mentions that heroes have to make hard choices. Hook could be a hero, if he doesn't let Grim get what he wants. Hook then realizes that Grim is starting to open the treasure, first with the crystal key.
Jake mentions that Grim will never share a thing with Hook and that he's tricking Hook when Grim uses the golden key. Jake mentions that if Grim opens the treasure, everyone in Neverland will be in danger. It's all up to Hook to be the hero Jake knows he is. As Grim is about to use the iron key, Hook snatches the chest away, as he is a villainous hero. The other villains attempt to stop Jake, his crew, and Hook to no avail. Jake helps Colossus use the iron key to make him the most powerful pirate ever. He thanks Jake and Hook for all of their help. Colossus then deflects ShiverJack's freeze snap to send him into a statue. He then snaps away Undergear's screws before throwing him into another statue. Colossus thanks Grim for showing him what being a true hero is all about, that being to make the right choices. He then throws him into the statue where the other villains are, and states that the Legion of Pirate Villains is no more.
Jake, his crew, and Colossus congratulate each other and Hook mentions that thanks to him, he saved the day. He is then thanked by everyone. Smee then appears and thanks Hook for being all right. Sharky and Bones, who are still frozen, arrive and are thawed out by Hook. Jake says that it all started with Wildfire landing on the Mighty Colossus. It's been a long time since Colossus last sailed on the Mighty Colossus, and Jake decides to give him a spin on the ship. It's Jake's ship, as a reward for Jake saving Colossus. That is what Jake, Izzy, Cubby, and Skully do, and they celebrate.
