"Car Alarm" is the seventieth episode of Kim Possible.

Plot[]

Kim is going to meet Ron at Bueno Nacho and intends to borrow her mother's car, but she says she needs to drive Jim & Tim to soccer practice, unless Kim agrees to do it. Kim refuses and decides to walk instead, even refusing bribery. As she walks, Bonnie arrives with her own car, and Kim is instantly jealous. It gets even worse, when Ron arrives with his scooter. As Bonnie drives off, Kim declares she needs her own wheels.

In a car store, it's clear there's nothing Kim can afford, so Kim's dad instead gives her his very first car, the Roth SL Coupe. However, the car is a literal fixer-upper, leaving both Kim and Ron distressed, as they can't get it run. Meanwhile, in prison, Drakken has had enough of his cellmate, Frugal Lucre, when Motor Ed arrives with a large mech, but instead of Drakken, he frees Shego. Shego opts to go on her own, but agrees to help Motor Ed in his newest caper. As Kim and Ron try to get the car running, Wade informs that Motor Ed busted Shego out. Wade keeps tracking them, while Kim and Ron keep working on the car. Jim & Tim then arrive and offer to fix it up, but Kim vehemently refuses, claiming that as Kim Possible, she can do anything.

By morning, however, Kim and Ron have only managed to strip the car into parts, and Jim & Tim arrive again and offer to fix it. Kim at first refuses, but with Ron's convincing, she accepts. However, she has to sign a hefty contract, in which she must drive Jim & Tim wherever they want whenever they want. Jim & Tim manage to get the car running, and it is beautiful. But as expected, Kim finds herself driving the tweebs to multiple places, which ends up in the Pizzatorium. As the tweebs take their time inside, Ron and Rufus opt to go as well, even using Kim's own puppy dog pout to get her to agree. It goes all the way to the night, until Kim has had enough, and busts in to get Ron and the tweebs. Just then, Wade calls and informs that Motor Ed and Shego are likely going to steal the Kepler, a rocket project worked by Kim's dad.

Kim, Ron and tweebs arrive at Space Center to protect the rocket. Kim's dad isn't worried, as he thinks the center's security system is foolproof. However, he is proven wrong, when Shego busts in. She deactivates the security system, allowing Motor Ed to steal the Kepler. Kim can't believe Shego would partner up with a loser like Ed, and Shego admits she's not thrilled about it, but she just has to do what she has to. Motor Ed uses his mech to throw Kim, but she manages to use Wade's hair gel to land safely into a jelly, though it messes her hair. Ron and the tweebs arrive to pick her up, and she angrily tells them "no mocking the hair". Ron wasn't even going to, but tweebs claim that as per the contract, they are free to mock. Kim tells them to get it over with, but they don't, as Kim ruined the fun in it.

Motor Ed starts applying the Kepler into a new road vehicle for his caper, which Shego can't wait to do, but Ed tells her she has to wear a disguise. The next day, Kim is driving tweebs to school, but tells them to duck down, so that nobody thinks she is their driver. On the way, they encounter Bonnie in lights and Kim goes on show her off. But it goes bad, when Bonnie's insulting hits on the tweebs. Wade then informs Kim that if Kepler reaches it's threshold speed, it can rupture everything with a terrible force. Intending to find Motor Ed, they circle around town, until Ron asks for a Nacho break, but Kim refuses. Just then Ron sees Motor Ed in rear view mirror, but as he tries to tell Kim, she thinks he tries to get to Bueno Nacho. Only after Motor Ed passes them, does Kim notice. Kim intends to give chase, but Jim & Tim tells they go home, because in its current state, the car can't catch up to Motor Ed. Feeling insulted by Motor Ed's vehicle, they claim that this is personal, which actually makes Kim smile, eager to have the tweebs upgrade the car.

The tweebs upgrade the car into the "Roth SL Coupe 2.0", and Kim, Ron and the tweebs give chase. Thanks to the upgrades, they can chase Motor Ed and Shego, even as far as using rocket engines that blow them all the way to space. As they come back down, Motor Ed activates the red button, which puts the Kepler into hyper sonic speed. This causes several things to get destroyed, including Bonnie's car and the Pizzatorium. This makes Shego to believe that his caper was to use the hyper sonic speed to cause destruction all over, but Motor Ed says his caper was to just cruise the world with hyper sonic speed with a hot chick, causing Shego to flip into a fury and throw them both down a bridge. As the rocket goes into hyper sonic speed, Wade tells Kim that it can be stopped by deactivating it from its side panel. Distressed that she has to jump into a speeding rocket, Wade gives Kim a pair of rings, which Kim at first thinks are engagement rings from Ron, but Wade tells them they are Magno-Rings, allowing Kim to hold on while on the rocket. Kim gives Ron the wheel, and after a struggle, Kim manages to stop the Kepler.

Kim thanks the tweebs for an excellent job on the car, which took some damage. Jim & Tim offer to patch it up and add more modifications. Kim thinks she has to sign a new contract, but the tweebs claim they ripped the previous contract with Kim, as they signed a new one with Bonnie, for having fixed her car, much to Kim's amusement.

As Kim encounters Bonnie again in the lights, Bonnie quickly has enough with Jim & Tim and rips the contract, and orders them out. Jim & Tim use a grappler beam on Bonnie's car, causing it to disintegrate. Kim then offers to drive them.

Trivia[]

  • Motor Ed says "seriously" 13 times.

Goofs[]

  • When Jim and Tim activate "second gear", a hood scoop pops up. However, when Kim's car launches into space, the hood scoop disappears in a couple of shots.
  • Since this episode is supposed to come before "Trading Faces", Bonnie should not make friends with Jim and Tim in that episode, since they ticked her off in this episode, though it is possible that Bonnie only made friends with them to get the dirt on Kim or get under her skin.
    • Bonnie's interest in Jim and Tim was always self-serving, either in getting something for herself or in hopes of humiliating Kim. But the only Possible she ever holds a grudge against is Kim, so this behavior is not all that unusual for her, since both instances gave her a chance to make Kim look bad. Tim and Jim clearly have no problems in helping Bonnie do, so long as it suits them.
  • At the beginning of the episode, while Kim's mother is in the doorway, Jim (or Tim) runs by her with a soccer ball. The appearance of Jim/Tim is pre-Season 4 (short and pudgy), as opposed to how they are seen later throughout the episode (taller and slimmer).
