This article is about one half of the Quantum Bands. For for its other half, see Kamala's Bangle. For both parts, see Quantum Bands.

Carol's Bangle, better known as a Quantum Band, is an item featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, currently possessed by superheroine, Captain Marvel. It made its debut in the 2023 film, The Marvels.

The bangle was originally possessed by Dar-Benn who sought to use the band's capabilities to create jump points, so she could siphon the resources from other planets, and transport them to Hala, the homeworld of the Kree, whose planet had been devastated as a result of the civil war, following the destruction of the Supreme Intelligence.

The bangle is based on the Quantum Bands, created by writer Roy Thomas and artist George Perez.

Role in the film[]

On a desolate moon, Dar-Benn and her team unearth the Quantum Band. She lays it on her wrist after prying it from its fossilized shell, and she feels a surge of energy go through her. Without the other half of the Band, Dar-Benn resorts to overloading the bangle with energy from the Universal Weapon, causing it to rip a hole in space and produce an unstable jump point, that begins siphoning the atmosphere into Hala.

Ty-Rone, Dar-Benn's advisor, runs analytics on the Band to evaluate its capabilities, something he wishes to continue, but after two of Captain Marvel's allies infiltrate her ship, Dar-Benn demands to use the Band right away and dons the bangle once more.

Captain Marvel arrives to rescue Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan, and shoots Dar-Benn in response. Dar-Benn however uses the Quantum Band to absorb the energy and redirects it towards her opponent. A short scuffle takes place, and Dar-Benn quickly exits the war ship. She lands atop a hillside on Tarnax, which serves as a Skrull refugee colony. She views Captain Marvel's attack as an act of war, on behalf of the Skrulls, and combines the power of her Quantum Band, with that of her war hammer, to create a Jump Point in the atmosphere, rendering the planet uninhabitable in the process.

Dar-Benn returns to Hala, where she announces to her followers how she will return their home to its former glory. Ty-Rone however, privately informs her that the Band alone is not capable of reigniting their sun.

Dar-Benn later arrives on Aladna to take control of the planets water supply. She is ambushed by Monica Rambeau, but absorbs her power, which she uses to dodge an attack from Captain Marvel. After momentarily escaping from their grasps, Dar-Benn stands on the roof of a moving ship, ready to create a jump point, when Monica tackles her down. Monica attempts to remove the Band from her wrist, but finds herself locked in battle. Dar-Benn clashes with both Monica and Captain Marvel, and absorbs her adversary's blasts with the band, when Captain Marvel suddenly swaps palces with her youngest associate, Ms. Marvel. As Dar-Benn's bangle begins to glow with the energy supplied by Captain Marvel, she notes the bangle possessed by Ms. Marvel doing the same, and comes to realize, she has the missing half of the Quantum Band. Captain Marvel swaps places with Kamala once again, and battles Dar-Benn, only for her to consume the energy Carol sends her way. Dar-Benn blasts Captain Marvel, and utilizes the Universal Weapon and the Quantum Band, creating a new jump point, which transfers the planets water, onto Hala, reversing the Kree planets drought.
