Ivan Simon Cary Elwes is an English actor, voice actor, and writer, who is best known for his roles as Westley in The Princess Bride and Dr. Gordon in the horror film series Saw. He is also well-known for his other box office hit films, such as Twister, Liar Liar, Hot Shots!, and Mel Brooks' Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Additionally, he voiced Garrett in the 1998 Warner Bros animated film, Quest for Camelot.

He has taken on various roles for Disney in A Christmas Carol (as Portly Gentleman #1, Dick Wilkins, Mad Fiddler, Guest #2, and Business Man #1) and in Epic Mickey 2, where he has taken over the role of Gremlin Gus from Bob Joles, respectively. He also voiced Donald Curtis and Baron in the Disney English dub of Porco Rosso, Whisper of the Heart and The Cat Returns, respectively, and played the role of Captain William Boone in the 1994 Disney film, Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book. In addition, he played John Houseman in the 1999 Touchstone Pictures film, Cradle Will Rock, and Sir Edgar in the 2004 Miramax film, Ella Enchanted. He even voiced Paris of Troy in the Hercules: The Animated Series episode "Hercules and the Trojan War", Prince Roderick and Basil in Sofia the First, and played a British Intelligence Officer in the ABC Studios TV show, Perception.
