Casey, born as Frank Morris, is a Marvel Comics character that appears in the Disney+ series Loki. He is an employee that works as a clerk at the Time Variance Authority headquarters.
Casey was created by Walt Simonson.
Background[]
Frank Morris previously had a life on the Sacred Timeline as a prisoner who escaped from Alcatraz along with John and Clarence Anglin. Under unknown circumstances, he created a nexus event which caused his timeline to branch. He was then captured by the Time Variance Authority and his timeline was destroyed. However, instead of being pruned and sent to the Void like several other Variants, he had his memories erased to become a worker of the TVA, turning him into a clerk at the TVA headquarters and assigning him the name "Casey".
For a while, he and the other TVA workers knew that the true ruler and founder of the organization is He Who Remains. This information was forgotten when He Who Remains decided to create the Time Keepers and erase the memories of the TVA members again. Casey was then told that the Time Keepers are the creators of the organization and its workers, so he was unaware of the fact that the Time Keepers are in reality mindless androids controlled by He Who Remains.

Season One[]
In the first episode, after Loki stole the Tesseract and was captured by a Minutemen unit led by Hunter B-15, he is brought to the Time Variance Authority headquarters, where Casey is at the front desk, filling and collecting evidence from the prisoners that were captured. Hunter B-15 gives the Tesseract to Casey and tells him to register it as evidence. Casey then holds the Infinity Stone and asks what it is. Loki replies that it is the Tesseract and he should be careful with it. Casey tells him that the name sounds stupid.
- Loki: "What? Infinity Stones? How... How do you have these?"
- Casey: "Oh, we actually get a lot of those. Yeah. Some of the guys use them as paperweights."

Later, when Loki manages to steal a Time Twister from Agent Mobius and escapes the Time Theater where he was being interrogated, he goes to retrieve the Tesseract and finds Casey, who recognizes him as the criminal that was carrying a "blue box". Loki asks for his name and then threatens to gut Casey like a fish if he does not give him back the Tesseract. However, Casey then asks Loki what a fish is. Loki wonders how he doesn't know, so Casey explains that he lived his whole life behind a desk. Loki asks him why it would make any difference knowing what a fish is and Casey says that he wants to know what he is being threatened with before complying. When Loki tells him that he is being threatened with violent and painful death, Casey decides to comply. Casey opens a drawer from his cart and picks the Tesseract, giving it back to Loki. However, Loki then looks inside the drawer and is surprised upon seeing several other Infinity Stones which were rendered powerless inside the TVA. He asks Casey how he has those stones, and Casey replies that they normally get many of them and some workers even use the stones as paperweights. Hearing this, Loki becomes perplexed, he looks around and wonders if the TVA holds the greatest power in the entire universe.
Then, Hunter B-15, who has been searching for Loki since he escaped from the Time Theater, appears alongside her Minutemen and attempts to prune Loki with her Time Stick. Loki manages to escape using the Time Twister, but B-15 hits and disintegrates the cart with the Infinity Stones and almost hits Casey. After almost being pruned, Casey complains to B-15, but she just ignores him and leaves to search for Loki again, making him say that he won't forgive her for this. Casey is later seen with two judges of the TVA, telling them how Loki threatened to turn him into a fish before B-15 showed up and pruned his cart. Suddenly, B-15 appears in front of him after Loki managed to sent her away using the Time Twister. Casey tells B-15 that Loki got away, but she just looks at him irritated and goes to look for Loki again.
In the second episode, when Loki goes to talk with Mobius at the lunch room, Casey is sitting at one of the tables and eating his lunch. As Loki has a theory that apocalypse events are great hiding places for a Variant, he picks Mobius' lunch and starts to throw salt and pepper while explaining the theory, but when he needs something to represent the apocalypse, he picks up the can Mobius is drinking from and realizes that it is empty, so he turns around and goes to Casey's table. Casey immediately recognizes Loki and starts to talk to him. But before Casey can say anything else, Loki quickly greets him and takes his drink, saying that he needs it for a second. Loki then goes back to explain his theory to Mobius while Casey looks at him confused from his table.
Season Two[]
In the first episode of the second season, Loki ends up in the past TVA as result of time slipping and no one in the organization recognizes him. Loki runs away from Mobius and Hunter B-15, who are chasing him along with Minutemen, and hops into a mail cart. In a lower level, Casey is buffing the floor when the mail cart with Loki crashes into a window in front of him. The impact knocks down a chronomonitor that was hanging from the ceiling and it hits the floor, leaving a crack in it. An alert sound is heard informing that a level five intruder, Loki, hopped into a mail cart is now in a lower level. Loki sees Casey and asks for help, confused about what is going on. Casey doesn't recognize him and gets his TemPad, reporting that he found the intruder. At this moment, Loki time slips again, arriving at the same place but now in the present TVA. Casey is there again, but now he recognizes Loki. Loki sees the crack in the floor and when Casey tells him that it has always been there, Loki finally understands that he was in the past. Loki asks about Mobius and B-15, so Casey informs him that they probably are in Chrono Bay Three and starts to lead him to the place. However, Casey hears Loki screaming and turns around, only to find out that Loki has disappeared.
Shortly after, Casey finds Mobius and B-15 in the Chronomonitoring Wing and tells them that he just saw Loki looking for Mobius, but then he disappeared while screaming in pain. Mobius and B-15 are confused by this. Mobius attempts to call Miss Minutes in order to locate Loki, but Miss Minutes doesn't respond. Then, Mobius and B-15 are called to a hearing in the War Room and, right after they left, Loki suddenly reappears in front of Casey, startling him. Loki asks about Mobius again and Casey replies that he is in the War Room. Loki then leaves to find his friend, leaving a confused Casey behind.
In the second episode, Hunter B-15 has Casey tracking Ravonna Renslayer, who has been missing since the finale of the first season. He initially thinks that B-15 has designed him to a secret mission, but B-15 clarifies that after all that Ravonna did (killing Hunter C-20, attempting to kill Mobius, throwing B-15 in a Time Jail, and trying to take over the TVA), there is no reason for this task to be a secret. Casey explains that tracing anything at the moment is really hard because Miss Minutes is down and the Sacred Timeline now has countless extra branches. However, despite Ravonna erasing the data from her TemPad, Casey is able to figure out who sent her the last message: Miss Minutes. B-15 takes Casey to share this information with Mobius and Loki. Casey tells them that he still don't know the whereabouts of Ravonna and Miss Minutes, but he will keep searching and let them know if there is a hit on Ravonna's TemPad. He notices Loki and Mobius working on Hunter X-5's rigged TemPad to figure out what it does and asks about it. Loki says that X-5 told them that the rigged TemPad blocks TVA tracking. Having read and practically memorized the TVA Guidebook, Casey immediately realizes that this isn't true, even though he doesn't know what kind of modifications were made without analyzing the TemPad.
Later, B-15 takes Casey to help the TVA technician O.B., who is trying to find a way to make the Temporal Loom adapt to all the new branches to prevent a Temporal meltdown. O.B. warns that they will all die because he has no acess to the blast doors. Casey asks if he tried using the C-12 bypass pathway that is written in the TVA Guidebook, but O.B. knows it won't work because he wrote it himself. Casey becomes surprised as he realizes that O.B. is actually Ouroboros, the author of the guidebook, and asks for his autograph, but B-15 interrupts them and draws their attention to O.B.'s warning. O.B. explains that only the person who designed the containment doors can open them with a live scan of their temporal aura, but this person, He Who Remains, is now dead. The only other way to open the containment doors would be if Miss Minutes helped them override the lock of the system. Casey thinks it will be hard to convince a rogue artificial intelligence to come back to work for them. O.B. tells that the Temporal meltdown is imminent and they have to find a way in, or it won't matter even if he builds a device to stabilize the Temporal Loom.
When General Dox and her loyalists execute the plan to bomb the new branches with reset charges, Casey works in the Chronomonitoring Wing alongside B-15 and other TVA members to stop Dox's attack. B-15 asks Casey if it is possible to disarm Dox's reset charges. Casey replies that they could do it if they track the charges, but there are too many, so he decides to call O.B. for help. They manage to stop the attack, but not before several branches are destroyed. When the attack is over, Casey and the others at the TVA stare at a chronomonitor in silence as they see so many branches disappear, knowing that billions of lives were lost with the pruning of those timelines. Casey then informs the others that he just got a hit on Ravonna's TemPad. They all look at a monitor which displays Ravonna's location.
In the third episode, Casey is using a monitor in the room with the Loom trying to find a way to open the blast doors, but so far nothing seems to work. O.B., who also has been trying everything to acess the doors, explains to Mobius and Loki that the Loom is stable now, but the branches pruned by Dox's attack are growing back and they will need to scale the Loom's capacity to handle the new branches or the TVA will be destroyed. Casey asks about Miss Minutes and O.B. confirms that she has administrator acess to the whole TVA, so she could be able to open up acess to the Loom. Mobius tells them that it doesn't matter if Miss Minutes can acess the doors now that she is missing and doesn't want to be found. Casey reminds them that they never saw Miss Minutes again after she sent the last message to Ravonna and B-15 recalls the two hits on the TemPad trace, indicating that the judge and the mascot are together. They agree that they need to find Ravonna to locate Miss Minutes.
Mobius and Loki leave to look for Ravonna and Miss Minutes and end up on a branched timeline in Chicago, 1893, where they find not only the missing duo but also a He Who Remains Variant, Victor Timely. But then Casey detects a weird TemPad reading about ten feet from where Mobius is standing. B-15 and Casey decide to call Mobius to warn him about this, not knowing that Casey had actually detected the modified TemPad that previously belonged to He Who Remains and now is with Sylvie, who went to 1893's branched timeline to kill Victor Timely.
