Castaway (Timon & Pumbaa)

The Castaway is a character from the Timon & Pumbaa TV series, who makes his first and only appearance in the episode "Manhattan Mishap". He is voiced by Jeff Bennett.

Background[]

Physical Description[]

The castaway is a skinny human with Caucasian skin. He has blue eyes. He also has gray hair and wears a long-sleeved red shirt, high waisted khaki shorts held up with a rope, brown dress shoes, and brown goggles.

Personality[]

The castaway has a controlling personality, doing whatever possible to trick Timon and Pumbaa into letting him eat them. He skillfully confused them into believing anything he said. He is also creative, coming up with a tour guide disguise to persuade them they were on a tour of the island. Furthermore, he was nearly able to cook them before they realized what was happening. However, he agreed to let them help him get off the island so he could find better food.

"Manhattan Mishap"[]

While flying his jet plane one day, the castaway crashed into a desert island outside Manhattan. Some time later, Timon and Pumbaa found themselves on the island. Initially, the castaway tried to eat them by using their befuddlement to his advantage.

However, Timon and Pumbaa eventually realized his plan. They then told the castaway they were inedible and helped him get back to Manhattan.

Trivia[]

The castaway's voice was provided by Jeff Bennett, who also voiced Zazu in the Morning Report segment of the original Lion King and in The Lion Guard. He was also Iron Joe in The Lion King 1½, as well as various other voices in Timon & Pumbaa, including the beast, Buzz, and the Meerkat Angel.
