The Cat in pescado barrel is a character from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at the Disney Parks.
History[]
Development[]
In 1996, the Imagineers updated the Pooped Pirate and other characters in the Pirate and Maiden Chase scene where some pirates would chase the Maidens as they carried food, and some Maidens would chase the Pirates, while pirates (including Thurl) would relax on stairs drinking rum, as the Pooped Pirate now known as the Gluttonous Pirate would eat. The Maiden in barrel was replaced by a cat hiding in a barrel labeled "Pescado" as it was eating fish.
Then in 2006, the cat was replaced by Jack Sparrow for the Gluttonous Pirate, now known as the Buccaneer, for the new scene where he is holding a treasure map and key, while he laughs about Jack Sparrow as he is hiding in a barrel.
