Synopsis[]
The episode opens with Connor trying to impress his classmates, including Cameron, with a magic trick where he appears to put a coin in a box and make it disappear (he actually has to secretly hold the coin in his hand). The first attempt however fails and his audience departs. Amaya suggests Connor should research the trick first using a library book, so the three friends go to the Library. There, Connor finds a book about magic tricks, but hidden behind it is an ancient Egyptian box. Connor plays around a bit with the box and discovers this box actually can make objects that are put into it disappear. Connor decides to keep the box to use for his act, but Amaya and Greg are worried the box might be dangerous, or part of a villain's plot. They decide to investigate it that night.
That night, in HQ, Owlette asks PJ Robot to investigate the box. Catboy however has a better idea. He takes the box with him to The Park, where Romeo is currently testing his latest invention: the Pink Maker. With his Super Cat Stripes and the box, Catboy quickly disposes of the invention, and Romeo leaves annoyed. When he gets back to HQ, he learns that his friends found out the box is actually an ancient Egyptian sarcophagus, and very dangerous. Their fears are proven right when PJ Robot accidentally gets sucked into the sarcophagus and is sent to a pocket dimension where all items that were put in the sarcophagus go.
Owlette fears only Pharaoh Boy could help them, since the sarcophagus is probably his. Reluctantly, the PJs go to the museum to seek out his aid. Once there, Pharaoh Boy admits that the sarcophagus is his Treasure Tomb, and that he accidentally left it in the library on his last visit. He demonstrates he can summon the items trapped in its pocket dimension if he wants to. He decides to keep PJ Robot as part of his treasure however. He tries to retreat to The World Beyond, but Owlette blocks his way with her Owl Feathers. Pharaoh boy pretends to flee, but as the PJs follow him, they run into an ambush, and Owlette and Gekko both get trapped in the Treasure Tomb. Catboy tries to take the Treasure Tomb from Pharaoh Boy, but is easily defeated.
As Pharaoh Boy leaves to find more treasures, Catboy finally finds a library book that explains how to perform the disappearing coin trick he tried earlier. With some practice, he masters the trick. He then challenges Pharaoh Boy to a contest to see whose magic is stronger. Catboy deliberately loses the first two rounds to give Pharaoh Boy a false sense of security, but in the third round he uses his Super Speed to steal the key to the Treasure Tomb, and pretends to make it disappear into his box. As Pharaoh Boy is distracted trying to find his key (which Catboy actually still has with him), Catboy steals the Staff of Ra and the Treasure Tomb, opens the gate to the pocket dimension, and rescues his friends. To prevent Pharaoh Boy from ever using the Treasure Tomb again, Catboy puts the key itself in the pocket dimension, sealing the tomb for good. An angry Pharaoh Boy retreats to the World Beyond while the PJs shout their victory cry.
The following morning, Connor finally performs his coin trick as intended.
