The Caucus Race Animals are characters who were featured in the 1951 Disney animated feature film, Alice in Wonderland.
Background[]
The animals that participate in the Caucus Race consist of various animals - mostly from birds to marine animals. They are shown to participate in the Caucus Race where they are often seen running around in the circle as they follow the Dodo's command. When Alice stumbles upon the Dodo, he tells her to run with the other animals just as Alice tries to keep herself dry during the Caucus Race. However, Alice becomes distracted when she sees the White Rabbit, just as she follows him into Wonderland.
Appearances[]
Alice in Wonderland[]
Alice encounters the Dodo who is using a toucan for transportation while a hawk pushes him as the Dodo sings "Sailor's Hornpipe" which he sees Alice who is trying to ask him for help which the Dodo could not hear her attention. Later when Alice sees a pelican, owl, and parrot on a log, Alice tries to ask them for help but they could not hear her, nor a group of lobsters. Alice later sees dry land where the pelican, parrot, hawk, owl, some lobsters, some mackerels, and some starfish doing the Caucus Race as they and the Dodo sing the musical number "The Caucus Race" where they all run around in a circle just as the Dodo sings along. Soon as Alice sees the Dodo on land, the wave takes Alice in the place where the Dodo and the other animals are singing, which Alice keeps getting stepped on by the animals. Seeing the Dodo above her, he tells Alice to run with the other animals just as Alice tries to keep herself dry during the Caucus Race, which Alice sees the White Rabbit just as he follows him.
While the hawk and toucan appear during the climax of the film, Alice encounters several other characters (consisting of the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, the King of Hearts, the Queen of Hearts, the Curious Oysters, the Walrus and the Carpenter, the Card Soldiers, and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum) performing a reprise of the Caucus Race with the Dodo once again, albeit taking over the other animals' roles just as Alice attempts to return home.

Alice's Curious Labyrinth[]
Statues of a pelican, a toucan, a parrot, a lobster, and a starfish are encountered in the Disneyland Paris attraction where they are seen in a section that represents the Caucus Race scene in the maze itself, alongside the statue of the Dodo. Additionally, an instrumental cover of "The Caucus Race" plays during the same scene.
