Channing Matthew Tatum is an American actor, film producer, dancer, model, and former male stripper. Among other roles, he is well known for playing Gregory "Greg" Jenko in the Jump Street films and Michael "Magic Mike" Lane in the Magic Mike film trilogy. He also played Duke in the G.I. Joe film series and voiced Superman in The LEGO Movie franchise and Migo in the 2018 Warner Bros. film Smallfoot.
For Disney, he played Tyler Gage in the 2006 Touchstone Pictures film Step Up and its 2008 sequel Step Up 2: The Streets and Revenjamin Buttons, Keith's in-game avatar, in Free Guy. He was also mentioned in the Best Friends Whenever episode "A Time to Travel", the Stuck in the Middle episode "Stuck in the Beast-Day Party", the Raven's Home episode "Big Trouble in Little Apartment", and the Bizaardvark episode "Moosetashio: A Cautionary Tale". He portrayed Remy LeBeau/Gambit in the 2024 Marvel Cinematic Universe film Deadpool & Wolverine and the 2026 film Avengers: Doomsday.

- Tatum was originally considered along the WWE wrestler Paul Levesque for the role of Thor Odinson in Thor,[1] but at the end, Chris Hemsworth was cast instead.
- Tatum was also originally shortlisted for the role of Captain America in Captain America: The First Avenger,[1] but at the end, Chris Evans was cast instead.
- Back in 2006, when X-Men: The Last Stand was released, Channing Tatum nearly portrayed Gambit but the character was scrapped. This would happen again, when Disney bought Fox, in 2019, a Gambit solo film was scheduled for a 2020 release, but after the buy out from Disney and Fox happened, it was cancelled, and all of the Marvel characters owned by Fox, their rights went back to Marvel. Tatum however, went on to portray Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine.
