Charlie-27 is a Marvel Comics character that appears in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, played by Ving Rhames. He is a member of an alien race who has superhuman strength. He is a skilled pilot and marksman, and an expert in hand to hand combat. He uses his powers and skills to protect the innocent and fight the forces of evil. He is a good friend of Yondu.
Charlie-27 was created by Arnold Drake and Gene Colan.

Charlie-27 was an old associate of both Stakar Ogord, a renowned leader among the Ravagers, and Yondu Udonta, a Ravager captain who had once disgraced himself when he betrayed the Ravager code by trafficking children. Upon Yondu's death participating in a self-sacrificing effort to save the galaxy, Ogord summoned a fleet of Ravager ships to pay tribute to their now redeemed comrade, and Charlie-27 was among those who answered the call. He joined with Stakar and several others in paying tribute to Yondu.
Trivia
- In the comics, Charlie-27 was a genetically engineered soldier from Jupiter, who joined the Guardians of the Galaxy after the Badoon exterminated his people.
