"Cheer Up Chibis" is the third and final segment of the tenth episode of the Disney Channel series Chibiverse.
Synopsis[]
Addison and Bucky put together a cheerleading squad.
Summary[]
Scientist Gary examines the Chibiverse as every Chibi appears to be in a good and joyful mood and having fun when Scientist #4 asks Gary if she can play some classical music, which he allows believing it would be okay, but when she plays her music, the notes affect the Chibiverse, making a large majority of the Chibis sad and depressed, so much so that they all stop doing what they were doing, even after #4 turns it off. In order to cheer everyone up, Bucky Buchanan and Addison Wells organize a "Pep Up the Planet" rally for the Chibis, as they believe that the power of cheerleading can solve anything. Bucky recruits a strong lineup of dedicated cheerleaders, consisting of Dijonay Jones, Kim Possible, Tabi, Tere, and Toñita Ramirez, Sasha Waybright, and Kristine Sanchez, while Addison recruits a much less dedicated and more random lineup of Kiff Chatterley, Tater Ramirez Humphrey, Scratch, Hop Pop Plantar, Hooty, and Pickle, because Addison believes that anybody can be a cheerleader if they put their heart into it, which aggravates Bucky.
Bucky ends up proving that his squad is more capable as they pull off a difficult pyramid formation, which shocks Addison's squad, who perform a very disastrous routine; Kiff's uncontrollable spinning nauseates her pom poms while knocking Hooty into Tater, whose sparklers are absorbed into Scratch, causing him to grow out of control and terrify Bucky's squad, along with Hop Pop's out of control jumping and Pickle's inability to move, Bucky is not impressed and tells Addison that they aren't ready to cheer, which depresses them further, so Addison decides to train them, though they leave Pickle with Bucky's squad.
Addison takes her squad to the gym to train; despite losing faith in themselves, Addison convinces them to stick to it while putting them through a training montage. Addison does everything she can to help them get better, but they make very little to no progress, Kiff's pom poms turn on her, Tater can't hop far enough for the tire run, Hooty tangles himself into a knot, Scratch constantly eats the whole time and Hop Pop jumps so high off of a trampoline that he disappears for half the day. Eventually the squad exhaust themselves and Addison gives up.
At the pep rally, Bucky puts on a flawless show, but the chibis watching are still sad, which makes Addison realize that she needs to stop trying to make her squad better and let them be themselves. Addison hijacks the pep rally and energizes the crowd by having Scratch terrify them, as the squad then performs their own way, Hop Pop takes advantage of his jumping ability, Kiff lets her pom poms act on their own, and Hooty stretches himself how he wants, which warms the crowd up to them until Tater wipes out on her skateboard while her sparklers are absorbed by Scratch again, who then uses them to set off a fireworks extravaganza, which finally gets the crowd on their feet cheering, and Dijonay admits that their routine is much better and convinces the rest of the squad to join in, including Bucky and Pickle.
The pep rally is a success as the music notes become joyful and all of the Chibis become happy again, while Dr. Doofenshmirtz resumes taking over the Chibiverse, and though Bucky tries to convince Addison to use the power of cheer to stop him, they are both zapped by a blast from his Make-Things-Explodinator, sending them running.
