"Chef Flounder" is the second segment of the tenth episode of Ariel. It premiered on August 16, 2024 alongside "Ravi and Navi".
Plot[]
Ariel and her friends are excited to try out the food at the Atlantica Food Festival. Flounder is the most excited, and is chosen to lead the way. He's been looking forward to it all year, as the best food under the sea is in Atlantica. Flounder then mentions how great the food festival is. The food Flounder is most excited to eat is Delfino's Delicious Doubles. That is where Ariel and her friends go to first. They soon come across a Wahoo fish, who is sad because nobody is ordering any of his kelp soup. Flounder then gives it some Pacifica-Paprika, which he puts on all of his snacks. As a result, the Wahoo Fish, followed by Ariel, Lucia, and Fernie, like it. The Wahoo fish tells Flounder that cooking is really just about mixing together ingredients in a way that makes them taste good. He thanks Chef Flounder for the help.
Flounder then decides to make the rest of the Wahoo fish's soups taste good, as well, although he notices that the Doubles might run out before he gets to try them. Ariel, Fernie, and Lucia will have fun while Flounder makes the soups taste better. The other Atlanticans arrive, having liked the soup. Flounder then decides to juggle, but realizes that cooking is his only talent. The Wahoo fish thanks Flounder for the help, and Ariel and Flounder then go to get the doubles.
Navi tells Flounder to taste her fried bakes, although the line at the Doubles is getting long. Soon, Flounder makes the bakes better than ever, and Navi likes them. Hermés then offers help with his crepes, and Flounder helps him, as it's the nice thing to do. Flounder then helps Bembé, followed by Ms. Cuttles, and some more chefs. Revi offers help with his curry, and that is what Flounder does. When Ariel and the others go to get the Doubles, Delfino closes it, as they're all out. Ariel is sorry for Flounder, as well as Lucia and Fernie. However, Flounder is glad he did the nice thing and helped everybody out, as it made him feel really good.
The Wahoo fish then arrives, thanking Flounder for his help, followed by everyone he helped so far. They got Flounder the Doubles as a way to say thanks. Flounder thanks them for doing all this for him. Ariel states that helping people really does make Flounder feel good. Flounder then goes to eat the Doubles.
