John Christian "Chris" Wedge is an American voice actor, director, producer, screenwriter, and cartoonist. He is best known for founding the company Blue Sky Studios (along with Carlos Saldanha), and directed Ice Age (in which he also voiced Scrat in the same franchise), Robots, and Epic, as well as executive-produced Horton Hears a Who!, Rio, and Ferdinand. He also directed the 2017 Paramount/Nickelodeon film Monster Trucks.
For Disney, he worked as a principle animator for the 1982 sci-fi hybrid film TRON. He was also the executive producer for the 2019 Blue Sky Studios film Spies in Disguise, and reprised his voice role of Scrat in the Disney+ original series Ice Age: Scrat Tales. These two productions were the last and only Blue Sky films and series to be produced and released under Disney respectively.
