"Chuckle City" is the ninth episode of the first season of Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero. It aired on February 16, 2015.
Synopsis[]
When Penn, Boone, and Sashi are zapped into a clown world as clown cops, Sashi must tap into her silly side to save the mission.
Plot[]
The episode starts with the heroes going to the next mission as Sashi discussing that juggling with one ball isn't called juggling, but Penn tells her that all famous jugglers started with one ball. Sashi asks him to name one famous juggler and he does so. Penn and Boone are playing with the ball, but they are knocked out by a trapdoor opened by Phyllis. She tells them to stop being silly and face danger "that they have never imagined before" before she zaps them into the mission.
A clown mother is seen screaming as she exclaims her baby is in the top of a burning tent building. Two clown cops are holding the baby as they drop off the burning tent building. Penn and Sashi then get zapped as the two cops and see that they are falling down, screaming in fear. Thankfully, the clown mother pulls out a huge pie out of the floor, saving the two heroes and her baby. After being delivered, the baby sprays water towards Sashi. Sashi wonders who would use a pie to save someone's fall as Penn notices the townspeople are clowns, telling that they will do whatever to make others laugh, but Sashi tells him that they instead make her want to break things.
The two heroes then go to the police station in search of Boone, seeing the policemen doing silly things. Sashi tells them they should be doing their job as cops, but she is sprayed in the face by one of them. The police commissioner then calls them to go to his office or else they are suspended, so they go there. The commissioner, who turns out to be Boone, tells them to take a sit, not noticing the whoopee cushions on them, producing a fart sound as Boone laughs. Sashi tells him they aren't here to play with whoopee cushions, so Boone apologizes and sits, having another whoopee cushion and producing another fart sound, causing him and Penn to laugh. Sashi gets mad and says she doesn't wanna hear or see another whoopee cushion before she stands up, squashing a whoopee cushion above her head. Boone discards all of his whoopee cushions, producing a loud fart sound together. Sashi then tells the mission: they have to stop evil clowns Farpling and Flaily from getting a key, protected by the police commissioner, that is used to activate a whoopee cushion that will blow Chuckle City away. A giant hand rips through the ceiling and kidnaps Boone.
The giant hand is controlled by Rippen and Larry, who are Farpling and Flaily, mounted on a popcorn bag carried by a giant balloon dog. Larry distracts Rippen with a camera flash, stunning him and grab the wheel directing the balloon dog, therefore causing it to impact against a tent building. A clown who was painting the tent building falls off, grabbing Boone to prevent his fall. Rippen and Larry also fall off the popcorn bag and they hold to the clown to prevent their fall.
Penn and Sashi approach a police car and tells the occupants to exit, so a bunch of clowns exit the car. Sashi gets fed up by the clown stuff in Chuckle City as she and Penn enter the police car and go towards the villains. Rippen sees them on a pair of binoculars as he tells his clown goons to chase them. The heroes and the clown goons leave Chuckle City as one of the goons shoots water balloons towards the heroes. Sashi uses a gun to shoot them, but pulls out a "BANG!" flag, so she uses another weapon, who spews bubbles, so she looks and gets knocked by a boxing glove from the gun. Penn points out that Chuckle City has its own rules and that she has to find her "inner clown" to complete the mission. Penn gives the wheel to Sashi as he pulls out a pan with turket bacon on it, dropping its grease in the street to disorient the clown goons' cars. One of the goons' cars go through the bacon grease and goes side to side with the heroes. One of the goons in the car pulls out a weapon with pie as ammo and shoots it towards the heroes. Sashi tries to drive the car towards the goons' car, but the goons' car extends itself from its wheel, driving Sashi and Peen off the street. Sashi pulls out a parachute bag to slow down their fall, but the bag lets out a dumbbell instead, increasing their fall speed. Penn pulls out a parachute made of underwear, grabs Sashi and exit the car before it crashes against the floor.
Sashi gets saddened, since she couldn't defeat any of the clown goons and caused her and Penn to fall off the street instead. Sashi then goes away from Penn, since "she doesn't belong here" as she said. Rippen and his goons are on the same cliff where the giant whoopee cushion is, explaining that the giant whoopee cushion was decommissioned after someone named "Whoopee Whoose". Rippen then asks Boone for the key, but he negates having it, so he asks Larry to pull out a feather to tickle Boone's nose. Boone sneezes, pushing a scarf off his nose, which is then pulled by Rippen, revealing more scarfs tied to each other, before finding the key at the end of the scarf chain. Rippen then uses the key to prepare the giant whoopee cushion, but Penn appears, riding an unicycle, shooting a rubber chicken at Rippen's mouth, before shooting the clown goons. Unluckily, Penn runs out of ammo, so he uses a gun that shoots red balls, but it runs out of ammo quickly. Rippen then traps him inside a balloon sculpture of a cage.
Sashi is inside a bar, still sad. Soda Jerk appears and asks her why "the long face", which Sashi replies that she is a failure, but he says he was asking to the clown horse. Sashi orders some water, but she is sprayed in the face. Sashi then says that she is not sad, but angry that she is a terrible clown. She then hears a squeaky toy beside her, so she beats the squeaky toy, before she finds out that the giant whoopee cushion has been prepared and ready to blow Chuckle City, so she goes to stop it, but she is knocked by the squeaky toy. Soda Jerk laughs at her, so she quickly grabs him and tells him that she needs to be silly, but her tough personailty prevents her to do so. Soda Jerk tells him that she needs to be tough to have a laugh for herself, as that is why clowns can bounce back from anything, so tells her to take a shot. Sashi tells him he has a big butt, so he shows his butt to her. Doing so causes his pants to rip apart, revealing an animation of him getting whacked by a hammer, causing Sashi to laugh. Soda Jerk then shows her the 5-Second Clown University, sending her there. Sashi then gets out, riding a tall unicycle and going towards where the giant whoopee cushion is.
Rippen sees Sashi coming, so he orders his goon to stop her. Unluckily for him, she uses mimicry to summon an invisible wall, blocking his goons. She summons an invisible grenade to knock the blocked goons away. More goons start surrounding Sashi, so she pulls out a bowl full of banana peels and drops them around herself, sliding on the banana peels and knocking the goons away. She then tosses her graduate cap towards Penn's balloon cage, popping it. Rippen is about to squish the giant whoopee cushion with a giant mechanic butt, but he is stopped by Sashi launching herself at him, leaving him hanging from a tree by his underwear. Penn then directs the giant whoopee cushion towards Rippen as Sashi points a gun towards Larry.
Phyllis then zaps Sashi and her friends back from the mission, getting blown by the giant whoopee cushion's wind. Penn and Boone then celebrate about Sashi having a sense of humor as she pulls their underwear out, ending the episode.
