City of Angels is one of two ending themes to the Disney Channel animated series Primos. It occasionally plays in place of the instrumental tune that is usually heard over the credits. The song itself is an inspirational piece about following one's dreams in "the City of Angels", which is a common nickname for Los Angeles, the setting of the show.
On October 7, 2024, it was announced that the song was submitted for a Grammy consideration, marking it the first song in a Disney Television Animation production to be supported for one.[1]
Lyrics[]
Glittering lights
Glow in the night
Stars align
This is the life
I can't believe it
Even when I see it
The city, the sea
It's all yours and mine
It's my heart
It's my soul
It's my home
It's the city
The City of Angels
And you know I give it
Give it everything
Cause I know I'm livin'
Livin' the dream
Singin' Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh
In the city
The City of Angels
Oooh
Top down mid-December
On the highway
Sunshine hair flying
Radio playin'
Vibes high tide's high
Head for the waves
365 Friday
To Friday
So if you wanna vibe with us
If you wanna vibe with us
Come and take a ride with us
Come and take a ride with us
East side to the West side
101 to the 405
All day all night
All yours all mine
It's my heart
It's my soul
It's my home
It's the city
The City of Angels
And you know I give it
Give it everything
Cause I know I'm livin'
Livin' the dream
Singin' Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh
In the city
The City of Angels
Trivia[]
- The lyric "101 to the 405" is said as "One-oh-one to the four-five".
- Despite Grullón being the singer, the cast of Primos is credited instead. This could be due to her being the voice of Lita.
