Trivia[]
- This is third of only five episodes when Donald Duck is wearing nothing but a blue pair of swim trunks for when he enters the water.
- The normally non-anthropomorphic animals behave like humans in this episode.
- When Donald laughs at Chip and Dale, his laughing tone is a reference to Nelson Muntz's laugh from The Simpsons.
- This is the first time Willie the Giant's personality is changed in this series. From this point on, he no longer tries to get Mickey and his friends like in his previous appearances, and he's no longer named "The Giant." Willie is now friendly instead of scary.
- This is the first episode where Clarabelle Cow talks to the viewers.
- This is the first time the title of the episode revolves around a secondary character instead of one of the sensational six
- First appearance of a plush toy version of Pete in the series.
- This is the sixth episode in total that only three Mousketools were used instead of four, following "Donald's Big Balloon Race", "Daisy's Dance", "Pluto's Best", Mickey Saves Santa", and "Donald's Hiccups", it's also one of the only two Season 2 episodes to have three.
- When Goofy says, "Too high!", "Too low!", and "Just right!", it's a reference to "Goldilocks and the Three Bears".
- At the end of the episode, the Mystery Mouseketool is what the Clubhouse members should save for Willie.
- The scene where the Sensational Six summon Toodles for the piece of string was used on an unknown Playhouse Disney promo for new episodes of the show.
- The bear looks very similar to Humphrey the Bear.
Goofs[]
- When he's about to figure out if it weighs the same as the bear, Pete’s mouth is open as he looks at the bear. But when he faces the camera, his mouth is closed.
- When Pete got off the scale, the side with the pig was supposed to go down because there was now nothing on the other side. This also goes for Pete's side of the scale when the elephant got off it.
- Donald accidentally says "Mystery Mousketools" instead of "Mystery Mouseketool", indicating going by production order, Mickey's Silly Problem came first before that episode. This error would later happen again in Mickey's Camp Out, Daisy's Pet Project, and Mickey's Roundup. Mickey's Big Job also used the same voice clip, but it was altered by removing the "S" sound.
