- “The Colossus? I-I've heard stories about this place. It's—it's a hangout for star pilots. Ex-Empire. Ex-Rebellion, pirates—anybody who wants to go fast.”
- ―Kazuda Xiono
The Colossus is a mobile refueling station that appears in Star Wars Resistance.
Stationed on the ocean planet Castilon in the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories, it was once an old super tanker fuel depot built during the Imperial era. It is operated by Captain Imanuel Doza, who resided in the station's upper levels with his daughter Torra. The Colossus was defended by a squadron of skilled pilots, known as Ace Squadron, and was also home to many other individuals such as Jarek Yeager, who owned a repair shop on the station. By 34 ABY, the Colossus had been stationed on Castilon, where it stood for twenty years, until the era of the New Republic's cold war with the First Order.
Resistance pilot, Kazuda Xiono was sent to the station as a spy by Poe Dameron. In the same year, the First Order began orchestrating pirate attacks against the station, wishing to use it as a staging area for the upcoming war. Commander Pyre, who had come up with the idea, figured that enough pirate attacks would force Captain Doza to request the Order to take over the station. Eventually, the First Order had the pirates kidnap Doza's daughter Torra so their own forces could "rescue" her, allowing them onto the station. During the ensuing occupation, as Xiono attempted to undermine the First Order's authority, he was eventually unmasked as a spy. Xiono, Torra, Yeager, and Neeku Vozo, working with Captain Doza, rediscovered and reactivated the Colossus' hyperdrive to leave Castilon and escape the First Order, after fighting a pitched battle to leave the planet's atmosphere.
Afterwards, the Colossus went to different places while trying to avoid being detected by the First Order. The Colossus traveled to D'Qar to refuel and obtain supplies at the Resistance base. However, as this base was abandoned during the evacuation in the beginning of The Last Jedi, they get no response upon approaching the planet and trying to contact the base. Noticing starship debris and all the destruction surrounding D'Qar, they deduced that a battle occurred and the base might have been destroyed. They managed to obtain the hyperfuel from remains of the dreadnought to fuel their station before the First Order discovered them and they were forced to leave the location.
As the ship began to run out of food supplies, some of the residents attempted to leave, but Xiono and Torra managed to hunt a Jakoosk, obtaining meat to supply the residents. They later discovered that the First Order had an engineer inflitrated among the crew members to sabotage the station, but Vozo and Xiono were able to undo the sabotage attempt. The pirates also planned to stage a munity on the Colossus using Vozo's battle droids, but in the end they failed and the gang was banished from the ship.
The Colossus went to Aeso Prime, where they managed to make an alliance with the inhabitants after solving tension between the Aeosians and the Colossus' residents. Xiono then decided to leave the station, but he soon returns to warn the others after he noticed a First Order probe droid, meaning that the First Order had found them. After they managed to escape, the Resistance sent the Jade Squadron to escort the recruits coming to the Colossus from Dantooine. The escort was a success, except for one of the recruitment ships that was shot down and destroyed by the First Order.
By 35 ABY, Tam Ryvora decided to defect and contact her friends at the station, and the final battle between the Colossus and the First Order happened. The battle resulted in the victory of the Colossus, and its members were finally free from the First Order dominance.
Several months later, three of the Colossus members joined the citizens' fleet to reinforce the Resistance at the Battle of Exegol.
