Comic Cave is a location featured in the 2021 Disney+ original film Flora & Ulysses.
Background[]
Comic Cave is a comic store in the suburban community of Vancouver, Canada as its name suggests. Hence this, the store is owned by a store clerk named "Stanlee" who serves as the owner of this store. In addition to selling comics, this location also includes props in order to fit the store's comic book theme. Other events besides these can include tournaments which the store can occasionally hold. Most of the comics sold in this store are comics related to superheroes.
The store is also eligible for people to sell comics within the store that they can earn money. However, according to the owner himself, any person who says a bad thing about his favorite superhero (specifically Spider-Man which is his personal favorite character) would cause the person to close down this store if one says a bad thing about his favorite character.
Role in the film[]
Flora approaches the comic book store owner, Stanlee, who tells them that her books are in mint condition. She plans to sell all the comics, except for a comic book about Incandesto, which was written by her father George, planning to sell them for thirty dollars. However, instead of selling the comics, Flora accidentally causes a mess in the store, causing Stanlee to react in shock, just as Flora tells him that she would accept the thirty dollars he would give her for selling the comics, except for her father's comic, just before Flora tells her that thirty bucks sounds good for her to sell just before she leaves.
Later, Flora and William began riding on their way to Comic Cave while Flora herself began narrating that the universe between her and Ulysses was expanding and making room. Arriving at Comic Cave, Flora asks Stanlee if he has superhero training for squirrels, which he denies, telling him that he is not fond of being a self-help genre. This was interrupted when William tells Flora about a news report on television about the incident that happened at the Giant Donut Diner, as the reporter began saying that the animal control is on a hunt for Ulysses after Rita thought he spread rabies on her, leading the animal control on a hunt to capture and quarantine the squirrel, just as Flora plans to warn her father about the news.
At the end of the film, Flora and the Buckmans began to write a comic book about Ulysses, inspired by the squirrel who saved them throughout their adventure.
