The Corrections Officer is a minor character featured in the 2017 Disney/Pixar animated film, Coco
Background[]
The Corrections Officer is shown to be very serious in keeping the law of the Land of the Dead in condition. He is shown to give out warnings for those who wear a Frida Kahlo costume illegally, hinting that he does not tolerate anyone who does illegal actions.
Role in the film[]
The Corrections Officer is seen talking to Héctor, who is telling him the illegal things he did when he was dressed up as Frida Kahlo, explaining that he fled an officer, falsified a unibrow, and disturbed the peace, telling him to clean up his act, which the latter explains to him that he was struggling during the Day of the Dead, telling him that he would use a friend for now (presumably referring to Miguel) who would provide backstage to meet Ernesto at the Sunrise Spectacular, explaining that he would arrest him if he would continue to impersonate Frida Kahlo, which he explains to Héctor that his shift is almost over and wants to visit his family, handing him a warning. Héctor explains to him if he can get his Frida Kahlo costume back, which the Officer replies "No". He makes no further appearances after that.
Trivia[]
